Series versus England will be an important one - their batsmen are better. And if they win more tosses (law of averages), more of a challenge for Ashwin and our team.

England series will show how far Ashwin has come, he struggled against them last time also. Cook nullified him along with KP. Now This England team is slightly weaker in my view and if Ashwin struggles against them then India has no chance of beating them.

We also need the OTHER Bowlers incl pacers and spinners (esp if England bats 1st after winning toss) to bowl well. And our batsmen to hold it together in 4th Inn. These aspects were not tested in this series due to Toss wins and weaker NZ team vs Eng team.

Ashwin is not a magician to overcome the entire team's basics, so the entire team has to play well against a strong Eng team.

This NZ team was not weaker, it  had covered all bases and was one of most well balanced sides I have seen tour India in spite of all the injuries. They competed with India all the way except this last innings and when you end up on losing side even with your best efforts will power just snaps and that is  exactly what happened here.

Other bowlers did their part in this series also India would not have won second test without Bhuvi and Shammi. 

England has no spinner to match the caliber of NZ spinners and if they can nullify Anderson and Broad threat then England will struggle to take 20 wickets .Meon Ali will find it is altogether a different game when there is no pressure exerted by fast bowlers.

Now ashwin is a diff bowler, he is extremely confident that he feels he can get anyone out. He has soughted his issues out and that time he was trying to much . Right now he looks in complete command of his game

Dhoni and Duncan inherited a great team and they both ruined it with their negativity  and set them back a decade. I sure hope Ashwin is different now and the stats he is putting up are just mind boggling.India needs to whip 5-0 England. Too many losses to them, I cannot take another series loss to them.

^^ Somebody needs to tell those morons Indians do not get to bowl on same pitches as Pakistan bowlers when they tour abroad. India played on greenest pitch at Lords and where they got to play on a dry spinning wicket.If Ashwin get same pitches as Yasir he will also spin India to win overseas too.

 

India if they play on same pitches as Pakistan they would whoop their behinds anywhere in world. Are we not seeing  for last ten years Indians whopping Pakistanis every nook and corner of the world
