England had long played the Anderson's,Bells in odis .After world cup failure they overhauled the squad and went with youth.

Regarding India we have a settled side But few positions are open like middle order hitter,Third seamer,Legspinner.

Imo Hardik Pandya,Kuldeep Yadav, should be given opportunities.

not being grammar police. But the title is meant as " India should learn induction of existing pool of talent, from England" . Every time iread the OP i feel we are talking about inducting existing talent from England like they do Kolpak.

How about now?

The selectors should also select young players for A team instead of above 30+ players.

The selector should not now select Jadhav,Pandey ,Axar,Rayuddu Fazal for next A tour & select  younger players who have potential to make the next grade

You need to follow more cricket. I want Pant to be tried not because he bashed U19 kids but because he played some good innings in IPL against decent attacks and more recently in a ranji game against Assam smashed 146 which included 8 sixes. We are talking about youngsters who have the potential to do well and Rishabh is certainly one of the most exciting talents we have.

@sandeep Rishabh has followed that 146 with 155 not out off 165 balls (21 4's and 6 6's) today against Maharashtra. Still don't think this 19 year old has potential?

Actually,  we have tried some new talent in the last 18  months

Rahul   ( in LOIs )

Pandey

Bumrah

Sran

Shardul  ( although he has not actually played )

Chahal

Hardik

Gurkeerat

Now, Jayant Yadav and Mandeep Singh have been picked too.   Axar has been brought back.

New players who can be tried immediately are Sanju Samson,  Pradeep Sangwan, Aniket Chaudhury and Mayank Agarwal.  Even Shardul Thakur could have been tried in ODIs....he is an accurate bowler and should do ok.

Rishabh Pant, Sarfraz Khan, Nathu Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, Ankit Rajpoot, Krunal Pandya etc. are all big talent but need to play some more FC, List A etc. before they  are actually tried in international matches.  Their games are not fully developed yet and introducing them too quickly to international cricket can impede their progress.

never said he doesn't have potential.  I was and am against fast-tracking a kid batsman who has only flashed his potential in a handful of games against so-so opposition so far in his career.

If a 19 year old can get triple hundred at such a high strike rate no harm in giving him a go in T20's. I am not asking for his selection in test matches. But he has the game to be successful in T20's and we lack big hitters in T20.

There is no desperate need to blood such a blank rookie batsman in Indian squad.  For example, Shouldn't Manish Pandey get a shot in T20s given the hard yards he's put in, in all formats for so many years?  And again - am not saying Pant shouldn't be tried - I'm saying its way too early to be clamoring for him on the back of a couple of innings.  Not only is it unnecessary, it sends the wrong message to the other prospects.

Now as a fan, I would be way more interested to watch likes of Pant as opposed to Faiz Fazal.  But from a selection perspective, I can understand the logic for it being the other way around.

Kuldeep Yadav should have been tried instead of playing Axar again .

Axar is at best mediocre and we have far superior player with similar skills in Jadeja .

Whereas Yadav has the unique ability and could be a real weapon in CT considering not many actually are exposed Chinaman bowling nowadays .

Real missed opportunity there .Hope he gets the last 2 ODIs and the England ones
