Manjrekar's attempt to troll Sania on Twitter backfired... and how!

The person(very irritating ,specially her nasal yak yak ) ..not the player.

Manju was right here ......(if you forget for a moment that it was manju:p:)

There was no reason to react the way she did.Every one knows the difference between singles and doubles in tennis.Just should not take credit for something you are not.

It is like a transport pilot calling himself a fighter pilot.

A slow medium pacer calling himself a Tearaway fast bowler......:bebored:

You are jealous of her khoobsurati.

PS:Hill girls are normally khoobsurat.

For an underachiever and rode the coattails of someone else.............. has too much attitude.

Fill in the blanks with either Sania or Manju.....the statement will still be applicable.

No1 in the world in doubles thanks to Martina Hingis who was a champion player and superstar-Too much lack of humility

Manju on the other hand is an idiot to get himself in the middle of this

How does being no.1 because of Hingis any less of an achievement? She just said she's no.1 which she is.

It is an achievement and yes manju was a jerk...but Sania has too much attitude and going by her past behavior her tone might have been as if she conquered the world...she has no humility from what I have seen.

In this situation yes Manju put his finger where it doesn't belong and got bit rightfully but Sania is no saint and even her response reeks of arrogance.

You need a racket, ball and a net, same as Badminton. For beginners, Tennis is just too boring, tiresome and it doesn't offer you any excitement. I'd rather do a wicket keeping job than play Tennis.

It's not the same at all, even if one ignores the fact that you erroneously say that badminton also uses a ' ball' to say it's the same.  Tennis is a completely different sport, requiring a different set of skills and a different type of athleticism.   To say it's the same is like saying soccer/ football is the same as rugby, or lacrosse the same as field hockey.

That you find tennis boring is fair enough, it's a personal choice.  But if you think the two sports are the same, well that's completely wrong,  IMO.

On a parallel note, I'm also not sure you get cricket  if you think (as you seem to imply) that  a wicket keeping job is boring.

Someone mentioned that Tennis as a sport is more expensive, my response was to that claim. No need to take it personally as it was just my opinion. Having played Badminton at state level I think I have a much better understanding regarding racket sports.

Not taking it personally at all.

Given you have played Badminton at the state level, your opinion is to be respected but that does not make it true- in fact makes your analysis of racquet games and wicketkeeping in is cricket even more surprising.  But peace.

Tennis has a lot more following in india even without a super-star....

Image what would ha[ppen to that sport in india, if there was a real no:1 super-star...(i mean singles...)

Nobody gives a hoot to doubles

i agree... no other sport can even touch tennis and football as far as world wide fan following is concerned...

no one knows about doubles tennis... forget no.1 player... i wish we had a singles top-10 player... like nishikori or micheal chang..

She split with Hingis in August and has won one ATP tournament not grandslam since then...while that is commendable she was getting all those points for her grandslam performances with Hingis.

Regardless it is a good achievement but doesn't change the fact that she is an arrogant "woman" with a feeling of self-entitlement.

Look at Saina and Sindhu on the other hand, they are humble and down to earth despite being real achievers.

Almost like a Sachin-Manjrekar comparison
