Why is Rishabh Pant included in the poll when we have hardly watched him keep.

Indeed . Ridiculous . Just shows people really don't understand tests and importance of getting 20 wickets to win a match . A keeper with excellent glove work sets the tone for the fielding unit , plus taking those half chances make all the difference .

if pant keeps like ( no idea how he keeps ) it does not matter how brilliant his batting can't wear the gloves in tests

People may have gone to the ground and watched him keep in FC matches.  There are many people connected to cricket on this forum as well.  They must have the option of expressing their opinions.

Doubt it lol they just read and see reports on his battting and from there lazily pronounce he should be test keeper lol

Maybe... but the question was regarding the reason for inclusion of Pant as an option in the poll.

Has to be Saha as of now in tests.....has an off bad match but technically the best keeper and a decent enough batsman. but still have doubts on his mental strength both with the bat and gloves...seen him play atrocious shots when under pressure with the bat.

Some times I think it's just the way Saha looks that means don't get kudos . The chai wallah look counts against him lol

Now that is harsh.....so you mean to say Ashwin,Jadeja,Rahane have Calvin Klein underwear model looks?

Saha has been serviceable behind stumps and decent with the bat...still hasn't had that break out moment yet.

Also serious doubts on his mental strength.

Saha shown more mental strength in getting his team out of bad situations with ashwin and tail than anyother wk batsman we had.

absolutely. People remember 1-2 bad shots than those several good innings he played under pressure. In SL, against SA, against NZ, in WI.

Rishabh Pant keeping really well  so far in SMA trophy

Kept well to seamers and collected wide deliveries with ease.  Moved with the ball and did not have to dive last minute for most deliveries.   But also dived and saved a very wide ball.

Just got a stumping now and has looked comfortable keeping to spinners so far.

Looks like a natural keeper who is comfortable doing his job.

No excuse as to why we cant remove Tony from the T20 team and play him as a specialist keeper. Tony is a misfit in T20s. Always has been. He's only good when he plays for the chuskis. Probably inspired seeing Meyeppan in the crowd.
