fineleg Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 (edited) Day-1 of Test and second session 125-127k bowling. Trundling in Tests, might as well play another spinner than this. Of what use is trundling 120s in Tests day1?? Edited December 8, 2016 by fineleg
kosingh Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Seriously. I don't know why the Prince of Trundlers is playing in this match.
MCcricket Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 There R lots of infatuated would who have a delusion that Boobie is a test bowler
fineleg Posted December 8, 2016 Author Posted December 8, 2016 (edited) Keep him for ODIs, and only for rare Tests where swing condition is super favorable. Else he is a part time bowler like Ganguly. Even ODIs on flat pitches, he will be plundered. Edited December 8, 2016 by fineleg
Cricketics Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 2 sessions and public going crazy. Calm down. Just returned, give him some time. Will comeback well in this game. Watch out. sandeep, sscomp32 and Sidhoni 3
Malcolm Merlyn Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 He is excellent in conditions that help him.He shouldnot have been selected here.

Watch out. he had just returned in the last two tests he played too, but those pitches were green and moist, so, he did well. keep giving him these type of pitches and see what happens.
The Realist Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Classic trundler who is far too malnourished to play test cricket. Gets injured easily and toothless on pitches that don't swing. Does not have it in him to bowl long spells. Limited overs format player at best and that only in favourable conditions.
_ramkumar Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Bechara Bhuvi got tired by the end of day's play.

Samcric Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Both Bhuvi and Umesh created chances in their respective 2nd over. Cook edged it to vacant gully off BK, Jennings was dropped (tough chance though) at wide gully off UY. BK also had a very close LBW review that turned out to be Umpire's call. At the end of the day, BK had figures of 11 overs, 0-38 and UY - 10 overs, 0-36. There is still the rest of 1st innings and second innings to go. So, let us wait and see the final match figures. And I think it is only fair to not start judging our seamers on this pitch till both sides have bowled. sandeep and Mosher 2
MCcricket Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 (edited) This wkt has bounce n there was early morning freshness as in Mumbai which assists seamers, Umesh bowled well with a drop or two n got a very short spell, BK got a 8 over spell n looked toothless, it's time people n selectors realise BK is a one trick pony and will not cut it in test except for when under conditions which help seamers all throughout which is rare. Hopefully Kohli will realize this n so will Kumble and selectors focus on test cricket n test bowlers not limited bowlers or medium pacers. Pankaj, Aniket, Nathu, Sangwan, Aaron deserve the chance, and will be more likely to succeed then an ave 125 to 132 seamer. Edited December 9, 2016 by MCcricket
fineleg Posted December 9, 2016 Author Posted December 9, 2016 We have reasonable upcoming bowlers in domestics who have bit more pace. Try them out, rather than the 125/127 trundling - PLEASE! MCcricket 1
maniac Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Urgent SOS to some 150+ bowlers right....there are plenty of 10 year olds who are athletic, talented and school dropouts who are playing on the streets. If I was BCCI...I would be making them leap from under water liker China does to prepare it's Olympians for the future and produce some phaaaast bowlers.

Need some radical steps...BCCI has money....we have loads of people with potential of not contributing much to the society anyways.out of those potential people ,we might unearth some talented sportsmen.
