Nair notched up the milestone in only his third Test and first series.

Scoring 300 is a very special skill,you need to know how to pace your innings.The acceleration from 200 to 300 was just amazing.

Yes, it is fair to say that had he failed here, Pandey or someone else would have replaced him and he might have been even dropped from the squad. Just check the threads from last test here on ICF and most people wanted him dropped. One innings can actually change your career and change opinion of people about a player. It sucks that it is that way that it takes only a special inning for people to realize that these are our Ranji stalwarts for the year or two who have earned their place in Indian team and deserve to be given a proper chance.

Green track TN vs Karnataka.

But Karun Nair was injured and hence cannot evaluate him based on the Ranji QF.

He has struggled against Aus-A so hope he can work on his game on such pitches with the help of folks like Dravid.

He's a good find, hope he does not the go the Vinod Kambli route after a big score.
