Its been an eventful year for team India and its fans. A year where we have seen emotions of both kind, from happiness of becoming no.1 test team to the sorrows of crashing out from T20 WC in Mumbai. This year will be remembered for some amazing performance from our young cricketers like Pandey, Jayant, Nair, Hardik  to a 36 year old Nehra bowling his heart out. It will be remembered as the year when for the first time we have whitewashed Australia in Australia. It will also be remembered as how an underdog like SRH won the IPL trophy from odds on favorite RCB.

 

But most importantly this year will always be remembered for KING KOHLI has played 36 international matches in 2016 and scored 2580 runs from 40 innings. That is at an average of 88.96 with seven centuries during this period and 13 half centuries. He’s bagged 8 man of the match honors and three man of the series in this period. On top of that 900 runs in IPL.

 

India plays no more international matches this year and its time for our cricketers & fans to take some time away from the game. So thank you Indian cricket team for a wonderful year 2016....hopefully 2017 brings more success.

Must say that beating Australia in the crucial group game of world t20 was really big. We almost lost that game but getting past Australia in a knock out game of Worldt20 was the most exciting moment for me of the year and the way we won that game was just incredible. Kohli played a brilliant knock.

Kohli at Mohali was supreme, the shots he played square of wicket were so good that I don't remember even Sachin playing such shots.

Excellent performances by Team India. Just thrilled to see how they have done esp in the England series.

Keep building a squad of 18 core players so we can also keep a pool of fast bowlers, seam allrounders and backup wicket keepers, backup openers for Away tours!

If NZ beats Bangladesh 2-0

 

and we beat Bangladesh 1-0

 

Then a 4-0 of Australia will take us to 125.

 

Aus would likely remain 2nd in the rankings with 105

 

We would have a 20 rating point advantage.

Kohli's 82 vs Australia was surreal. What made it even better was that it was in a SF, we were playing in a packed stadium, and Kohli's reaction at the end was like he just defeated an entire team by himself, while carrying the hopes of 1 billion+ people on his back.
