In a way, I am happy that we are not playing too many tests this year as we are supposed to tour the big three places(Saf,England and Australia) after this year and that would mean that whatever test cricket we would have been scheduled to play this year, it would have been against lower ranked teams and at home. I do not want to see more home tests. It would be great boost for our Ranji to see many of these guys go back to Ranji and play for their state sides to further raise the bar in their respect states. Good that we are playing lanka in lanka and not home. Better for us as it is still "away". sandeep 1

We have 3 Tests series at home against SL and WI, 5 Tests against England away and 4 Tests in Australia in Dec/Jan '19. Think that's decent enough for 2018. We should play more Tests in 2017 tho. We have nothing lined up at home in the 2nd half of 2017. Problem is, who the hell are we gonna invite? NZ, Eng have already been here recently. Banglas/Australia will be here in Feb/March. WI/SL are scheduled to tour in 2018. Pakistan series at home is not gonna happen in the near future. Can we get SA for a quickie 2-3 Test only tour in Sept/Oct? Heck even that is unlikely as they were here in 2015
