I think now we can statistically put Younis slightly ahead of Dravid although Dravid still gives a better impression of 'consistency'...

Statistically no.

After his 120th test, Dravid had played 206 innings and scored 10031 runs at an average of 55.41.

YK has scored 9977 runs in 207 innings with an average of 53. Still far behind.

Only place where YK is statistically better than Dravid is Bangladesh and India.

Statistically doesn't mean where was Dravid after 206 inngs, at the end avg matters...

Dravid had a massive advantage to play around 50 more Tests at same age.

Now imagine had Younis played same number of matches/inngs! Younis with 34 hundreds in 207 inngs is miles ahead in this regard as compared to dravid with just 36 in 286 inngs...

Also Younis now got an avg of 50+ in both Aus and Eng which proves his worth overseas too and shows he is not just an Asian performer...

What I posted was also statistics.

Dravid had disadvantage of playing lot of tests against strong Aussie team (12 tests), disadvantage of not playing in UAE.

Australia vs Starc, Lyon, Hazlewood, Johnson is nowhere the same as Australia vs McGrath, Gillespie, Warne, Lee, McGill.

Younis is nowhere near Dravid. Never was, never will be. He has a slightly better average. In an era where 50+ averages are present in every team, sometimes more than 1 in just 1 team.

Even average wise YK never crossed 55. If you look at records of modern batsmen, all had career averages 55+ most of their career with peak averages being close to 60. SRT, Ponting, Sanga, Kallis, Dravid - take anyone.

Then we have tier 2 modern batsmen who barely managed to average close to 50 and boosted it past 50 with few good years - YK, MoYo are some examples.

rahane, dravid, gavaskar, tendulkar, amarnath, kohli, laxman and ganguly - 8 Indian batsmen of superior pedigree in fast bowling conditions than Pakistan's best younis khan...

UAE khan being compared to Dravid.lol

ironically "uae khan" got an avg of 50+ in aus and 57+ overall vs Aus whereas Dravid struggled big time vs Aus even at home conditions...
