Pakistan have lost the last 12 Tests they have played in Australia

You need heart to win/compete in Australia. Conditions are easy but you need to be mentally up for the onslaught. The way they collapsed on 5th days of Sydney and Melbourne said it all. They are a weak team and rightfully belong to the bottom half of rankings.

In addition, they don't quite have the kind of bowlers they had in the late 80s and 90s that were capable of blowing teams away.

Have you ever wondered why the bowling prowess of the "bowling superpower" declined with the advent of neutral umpires and crackdown on ball tampering. Quite a coincidence that.

The bowling powerhouse only managed to take 35 wickets in this test series. It's good there was no game in adelaide.

That is 35 out of a total 50 wickets. Really poor

The former applied to home matches and that was indeed a big unfair advantage to them in the past. But in the 80s and 90s, they were pretty good away from home too. The latter did have some impact, but more than that, I would say the crackdown on illegal bowling actions affected them more in recent times.

Both were important factors. Remember that in 89 (or was it 90?) when India toured Pakistan with a youngish team and Imran boasted they will prove they could win without "home grown" umpiring and called in neutral umpires? Resulted in a 0-0 drawn series over 4 matches where India had a bunch of youngsters in Razdan, Wasan, Tendulkar, Manjrekar etc. under a new captain. As for ball tampering I've mentioned it in more detail in another thread.

This lot of Pakistani bowlers wouldn't do jack even if they were given Shakoor Rana and a bottle opener.

I disagree. Give Wahab & Amir a bottle top and turn a blind eye and you will see the same batting collapses we used to see in the glory days of 80s and early 90s. If Chris Pringle could bag 7 wkts in an innings with the help of bottle caps, I'm sure the current gen of "beastly" bowlers would as well.

Chappell brothers are just pricks. This kind of trolling is fun on ICF, but just sounds ridiculous when it comes from a public figure. That too an old hag. Too many former Australian cricketers turned commentators get too carried away with their disrespect for opponents.

Ian Chappell is the only sane commentor in Australian cricket worth hearing.

Yeah he often goes overboard with both criticism and praise but he is one of the few unbiased and knowledgeable commentators in cricket .

Pakistan tour Australia on average once in a decade which is the reason for performing poorly there. SA & India used to perform badly as well in Aus but since last decade they are touring Aus every 2 years and their performances have gone up sharply.

Pak's record in Australia is lolworthy.

But Ian Chappell is an idiot, lest he forget Australia have lost all last 9 Tests row in Asia (since 2013)

And not to mention the Australia coward out from a Bangladesh tour in 2016, and after Bang v Eng Test series, odds on Bangla would have beat Australia in Tests. It was cop out from Aussies.

No wonder Australia have played the fewest Tests in Asia amongst Aus, SA, Eng and NZ

these are excuses, then expect when your next once in a decade series comes along, the streak will extend to 15-0

Pak played two Tests in NZ just prior to playing Aus, Pakistan players are just too weak to play on these bouncy and pace wickets...remember Pak lost 3-0 in last visit to SA too.

Your guys are playing overseas every year. Even in the twenty20 leagues etc. Even though pitches are not the same in test matches, the conditions are the same and that is all a player want in terms of getting used to a new country.

You habve toured New Zealand twice in three years, unlike us. Have been playing in Big Bash, CPL English twenty20 all year around, yet you have sucked in these countries.

Fact is that Pakistani players have shown that they have lacked temperament.

I mean this was first series in ages where it was so flat that not a single bowler got a fifer. No fifer imagine and yet Pakistani batsmen sucked on the tour, and Aus bats did enough score to bat only once in the game on same pitch.

Learn to accept that you have sucked and not that you have been hard done every time.
