It is Vignesh's first season too....and he is as innocuous as they get.

 

These games  ( practice matches against England, Irani Cup etc, )  should be used for the development of players who have a realistic chance of representing India in the near future....but are  used for placating Ranji performers without  international potential atleast as far as seamers are concerned.

Don't understand the logic behind selecting vignesh ahead of siraj. Siraj has more wickets with better avg and SR compared to vignesh in the current Ranji season.

Hooda,iyer, bawane made more runs than manoj tiwary so what was the logic behind tiwary selection

Even Vinay, Dinda have also been among the wickets and they too didn't get fair chances in test cricket. Priority should be to give chance to players who have the tools to succeed in international cricket. Selecting players out of sympathy or to give Him a chance for the sake of it won't take our cricket anywhere.
