Will atleast be meaningful. Everyone in that squad will be those who have a real shot at playing for India. Even better would be to let India's test team captain and coach pick the RoI team. Siraj is the 2nd highest wicket taker among pacers this season and he is said to be pacy.....how did he miss out ? Choosing Vignesh !! Why Kaul ? Looks like Nathu, Rajpoot, Aniket are out of the selectors' radar as of today and they are only concerned about last Ranji season rather than developing India hopefuls. I wonder why those poor guys even bother playing cricket. Just make it official and scrap Hyderabad.

Don't know if its the right thing to do because as you said, there would be no point of having the Irani cup in the first place.
