express bowling Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 (edited) The quality of bowling has become really good in zonal games nowadays....especially the pace bowling So many international type bowlers on display Edited February 15, 2017 by express bowling tweaker and Mosher 2
rkt.india Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Really impressed with Ankit Rajpoot. He might not be hitting 140+ but he got extra bounce from short of a good length and was hitting the bat hard and then bowled some really good yorkers at the death too. He should be the next in line to debut for LOIs. tweaker 1

We definitely can invest in better alternatives anyway.

Their domestic records bear witness to that. Shame that Vinay and that embarrassing Srinath Aravind had to block what should have been his place. Yes. Warrier should have played. Pathetic to see likes of Aravind. Hopefully, next game he will be playing. Only difference between Rajpoot and Warrier is Rajpoot is a bit taller but his round arm action negates the height advantage and on paper, Rajpoot is younger at 23, Warrier 25. Both bowl similar pace. Mosher and tweaker 2
Sachinism Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Runs for Vinay Kumar, wickets for Manoj Tiwary. What is the opposition doing? Sidhoni 1

PBN Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Was the pitch doing a lot when Dhawan and Gamhir were batting? They didn't accelerate after the starts with less than 100 sr whereas the rest were smashing at 150+ Dhawan 37 off 39 Gamhir 20 off 20

Unfortunately the way it works in tournaments like these, you pick the best players from Ranji and other LOI's and Vinay Kumar's batting and bowling combined gets him the slot in these tournaments. Forget the slot, he is infact given the captaincy here since he is considered one of the best in the league by the selectors. Similarly Bhajji is the captain to. Both pretty old now yet given captaincy. Vinay sucks in our eyes but when having these games, he will keep getting picked because he performs against our domestic prospects who keep giving wickets away to him. He will always get picked on these basis as he is also wcoring runs like he did last night. I am fine as long as they are not picking him in the 4 day India A matches. What is disappointing is that Siraj had to be left out.

This was one of the difference in the game. Fielding from East Zone looked fantastic and later there was a fantastic catch taken even to dismiss Gambhir. Naman Ojha looked like a good captain pumping his bowlers up and fielders when they let one single go of easily. East zone won today on their fielding.
