Rishabh Pant made Delhi captain.

Rishabh Pant has been named Delhi's captain for the Vijay Hazare domestic 50-overs tournament, taking over from Gambhir. 

Great for the kid, to be leading his state side,  at such young age. Shows how highly he's rated by all.

Unnecessary hype. Let him be.what qualities he has shown. He is just a kid. Putting too much pressure.

He has performed really well, even though it was only his first season, but age is no bar for captaincy. Graeme smith was made national skipper, after playing just 8 test matches. 

Not saying he's in the same league, but nothing wrong with being made state captain, if they see him as the future. 

Hope he's mature enough to handle it.

Has struggled this season barring few odd knocks.

 

He will still be good for our Odi's in future I believe. I do see Unmukt playing for India down the line. Unmukt needs to score in Vijay Hazare trophy to impress the selectors and also have a good Ranji season.

dude,i swear somebody wrote the exact sentence when kohli was made Delhi captain,people didn't think he would make a good captain either.Pant is on the fast track,all he needs to do is perform like kohli did and he will be indian team captain in 5-6 years.

As above posters said unmukt channd, Vijay zol, Sanju Samson. All these guys were talented but are no where to be seen. Just want him to grow. Captaincy is another thing he has learn and handle the pressures of it.

Don't agree with the decision. I would have somebody senior like Rajat Bhatia or some such to captain Delhi and let Pant learn and enjoy the game. He's too young to be handed captaincy and may actually hinder his progress.
