tweaker Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Because of the hype lot of people have watched this players live on the tv ,during the zonal stages of syed mustaqali tournament. Most of the hyped players Pant,Anikeet,Ankit,Basil have also impressed most people who have watched them for the 1st time. Most people believe that we don't have pacer who can bowl above 120 kmph speeds.Leave spectators, some senior cricketers ,commentator also don't have ideas about bowlers like Thambi. express bowling 1

Pant came in when they needed 13 an over after test batting by GG and Dhawan, scored quickly 13 ball 25, got stumped trying to hit out. 4 hours ago, sarchasm said: Pant was impressive in his brief cameo. Made Dhawan, his partner, look demonstrably pedestrian in the way he was both decisive in footwork, judging the length to perfection, and generating immense power. Very good! There is your answer Sunny ji. It's not all hype. You need to stop creating threads for the sake of creating threads. Lord 1
Pollack Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Pant is seriously good actually. The only question now remains is to see how he is in swinging conditions when the ball moves.

Pollack Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 I did not mean he shouldn't be fast-tracked before knowing his play against swing. He can already start playing ODI and t20s and slowly drafted to tests.

Dhawan got Pant out with his slow batting and lack of momentum forcing Pant to hit the Big shots regularly. express bowling 1
Cricketics Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Want to see Pant more in 50 overs now. Twenty20 is sill not as fun to watch a batsman than what 50 over will be. It will be interesting to see how Pant builds his innings when he bats in the 50 over format of Vijay Hazare trophy which starts in less than 10 days. Tournaments like these will make Pant a better player, and now with added responsibility of captaincy, it will be even more interesting to follow his progress along with that of the burden of keeping for the team. He probably will come First or second down and might send Dhawan-Gambhir to open. Also could come after Unmukt chand . Delhi has 3 lefties who could open. If Pant wants to be India's opener, he should try to bat in these games as an opener but then he will be also be keeping and captaining and might not prefer to do it. I remember he opened last year in the VH Trophy.

Malcolm Merlyn Posted February 16, 2017 Author Posted February 16, 2017 Hype Thampi and Super Hype Pant dropped?
express bowling Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 (edited) Pant, Kishan etc. have all left to play for India A South Zone is rotating all its pacers today and all 3 pacers of the last 3 games ( Vinay, Thampi and Aravind ) have been rested to give chance to the bench bowlers Warrier, Milind etc. We are seeing it in other zones too where top pacers like Nehra, Shardul etc. are resting today. Most probably a plan to give chances to every player. Edited February 16, 2017 by express bowling Mosher and tweaker 2
