1 Billion people + BCCI $$$$$ + facilities, pace academy etc... one would expect India to have the best pacers.

However I think Shami is the only world class pacer you have.

With that being said India are marginally better than Pak atm who currently have a poor bowling coach.

That's poor

why ?

why don't you guys make money and make lots of it . Big pop , cricket fanatics . Yet paupers . Time for some introspection why crap facilities and penniless .

Dont be jealous as we more intelligent and Organised .

Currently I believe we possess third best pace bowling in the world behind South Africa and Australia

Broad, Stokes, Woakes

Wagner, Boult Southee?

^ England attack is comfortably superior to us.Broad is a level above Shami who is our best seamer.

NZL are similar level to us imo. They also are kinda dependent on conditions.

As for the best seam bowling attacks in OP i would rate like this :

SA

Aus - Eng

Ind - Nzl

Pak

Srl - WI - Bang

Our fast bowlers out-bowled both these attacks ( as a whole )  in the test series played in India in 2016.

Our fast bowlers ( as a group ) are better than theirs ( as a group )   in India  and they maybe better outside India as of today.

But, our fast bowlers have improved their accuracy a lot in the 2016-17 season..... so I want to see how they do outside India with their new-found accuracy and discipline.

Based on what exactly our fast bowlers better than English bowlers outside India ?

England bowlers recently won them a series in SA.

I said we are better IN India   and    they ( meaning English and NZ  pace attacks )  maybe  better outside India as of today.  This is what I  wrote.

It's easier to outbowl them in India as spinners create pressure and pacers generally bowl in short spells. Moreover Indian batting is much more stronger than other teams in home conditions. Many of our pacers have better record at home for that reason.

You can compare their records in away conditions, like in SA, Aus, WI, SL, Bangladesh and NZ for pacers from England or in Eng, SA, WI, SL, Bangladesh and Aus for NZ pacers. Will our pacers outbowl them there?

Indian pacers are averaging 40 outside Asia in away matches in last 3 years which is just better than WI and Bangladesh only. After 2015 they haven't played outside much.

Real test is bowling in alien conditions and conditions in SA, England and AUS are not really alien for NZ bowlers. Same for England bowlers in Aus, NZ, SA. Alien conditions for them are SC conditions and they should be judged based on what they do in Asia. Like our batsmen are judged based on how they do outside Asia. It is also easier for England and NZ pacers to outbowl our pacers in those conditions that are very close to their home conditions.

Yep too many people here let their bias cloud actual performance

India doesn't play in UAE and teams dont play much in Bangladesh. Only common alien condition for both team is SL.

Can we use SL only to judge all pacers? Indian batsmen are judged on basis of their performance outside Asia because there are 4 strong teams.

Actual performances include performances in Asia...where England and  NZ seamers are very average and our pacers are better

It reverses outside Asia, so it is difficult to gauge which group  is better.

How many 5 fers have our seamers even have in India ?

It's pointless judging and comparing our seamers with others based on performance in India because they are ONLY support bowlers in India. Its our spinners who are match winners .

When we go to SA/Eng/AUS/NZL the role is reversed and Pacers are expected to be chief wicket takers and spinners support bowlers.

Our seamers perform better in India because spinners create majority of the pressure and it's much easier for them .Same reason why when we tour England or Australia their spinners often outbowl our spinners .

Being a good support bowler doesn't make them better spinners than our spinners or our Pacers better Pacers than them.

no, they should be judged on how they do in India and how we do in England and NZ.

It is not so simple

Most  England and NZ pacers cannot reverse the ball at pace and don't have the skill-sets required to do well in the subcontinent if the batsmen are quality.

Our pacers did not show the discipline requited to succeed outside Asia till the 2015-16 season.

So, as of today, we have 2 sets of pacers with incomplete skill-sets.

(  p.s - I am interested in seeing how our quicks do outside Asia now, as they seem much more disciplined )

This does not change the fact that  most  NZ and England seamers look innocuous in the sub-continent due to their lack of ability to reverse the ball at  pace.

Most of them do well only when the pitch offers some pace, bounce and movement or the conditions favour swing.

This is a comparative analysis and we are comparing 2 sets of pacers ( England /  NZ seamers vs. Indian seamers )  with incomplete skill-sets  ..... so, I cannot say with conviction which group is  better.
