Ras Al Ghul Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Indian pacers have done quite well in the home series.Their performance was praised by even visiting team commentators. They are no more medium pacers.Shami and Umesh hit 90MPH frequently.Ishant too can hit that speed. They can reverse the ball both ways at pace.We have a out and out swing bowler in Bhuvi Kumar. This is a very well rounded fast bowling line up.May be the best in Asia. express bowling, AuxiliA, schumibest and 3 others 6
express bowling Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 (edited) Certainly, we do. 3 good fast bowlers who are combining pace with accuracy and 1 good swing bowler. 2 of the fast bowlers are very good at reversing the ball. Our bench strength looks promising too Edited March 9, 2017 by express bowling SLICKR392, Rightarmfast, Mosher and 1 other 4
Gollum Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Easily because our only real competitor is Pakistan. Unfortunately for them Amir 2.0 has been more hype than substance and Wahab is a once in a blue moon performer. Rahat Ali, Sohail Khan, Imran Khan etc are Unadkat level. We are 3rd best(overall) in this department behind RSA and Australia. But in Indian pitches we are at worst equal to those 2 units. Rightarmfast 1
MCGGG Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Not sure what happened to Ishant, I remember that game at the WACA all those years ago and he sent down one of the best spells I've seen by any fast bowler, was borderline unplayable, good to see him hitting his straps again. SLICKR392 and Gollum 2
Asim Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Just like Pakistan possess Best Test batting Lineup of Asia... SLICKR392, schumibest and King Tendulkar 3

Discards like Parthiv Patel, Robin Uthappa, Dinesh Karthik, Badrinath - these guys would be the greatest ever batsmen for that team if they were born on the greenbro side of the border. Heck, Karun Nair, who only makes it into the team in case of injury or extra batsman, would automatically become their best test batsman right now if he was a Pakistani. Sidhoni 1

I am sure it hurts your pride that India might possess the best bowling lineup in Asia, but the statement is not insincere. It speaks more of the sad state that Pakistan cricket is currently in than of some fairytale jawdropping army of lethal fast bowlers that India might have. Our fast bowling culture is certainly improving but we have miles to go. And Pakistan cricket is falling at an alarming rate. Masquerade, maniac and Mosher 3
Rightarmfast Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Indians have had the best fast bowlers for some time now. I will stretch my neck and say, since 2003, although maybe in patches. WC 2003, Srinath, Zaheer and Nehra were at the top of their games, and were in better bowling shape than Wasim, Waqar and Shoaib. We have had good bowlers from then on, but as it stands today, we are clearly way better than Pakistan who I feel has been overrated quite frankly. And I am not one of those biased posters. I say this with a reason. Sidhoni, Mosher, express bowling and 2 others 5
Late Cut Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Yep. And our best pace bowler is injured. Plus we have a great pipeline of young and quick pacers with variety too (left arm, bouncy, skiddy - and all quick). Rightarmfast 1

ind_hyd Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Its far too early to comment. So far this pace attack hasn't won us any series in AUS or SA or ENG or even NZ

kira Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 We've had the best pace attack in asia for a very long time now. Asia now consists of India + 3 minnows sandeep 1
Riju23 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 (edited) I'd love for this to be true, but the fact is even recently pakistan managed to draw a series in England 2-2 on the strength of their bowling. Can we say the same about our current attack? I think our late 2000s attack was a little better (they won series in England and NZ, fought Aus to what should have been a drawn series but for that BS in Sydney). I like the potential of our current guys but am not 100% sure about them until we can win in one of the big foreign tours. I think it is a better attack than Pak in the subcontinent, but not sure they can do what the Pak bowlers did in England. Edited March 9, 2017 by Riju23 forgot one phrase kira and BeautifulGame 1 1

Which fast bowler performed for packiston? The matches were won by yasir, amir averaged 40+ in that series Riju23, Vilander and express bowling 2 1
Riju23 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Look as a bowling attack they managed to take 20 english wickets two times. We played in england recently with this same set of players (mostly) and could not manage that. It's not like yasir took all the wickets. I'm not saying they are amazing and I dont think Aamir is Wasim Akram 2.0, I just am not sold that we are quite that good yet.

This thread is about FAST bowlers, which FAST bowler from panikstan is better than India's?
Riju23 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Please use caps lock more lol I would probably take either of Aamir or Junaid over any of our guys. I think they are better at creating wicket taking opportunities in foreign conditions. I think our guys are better at reverse swing in subcontinental conditions.
