sarcastic
India has an open position, i.e. no 4 in ODIs to be filled and right now two people are vying for that. This is in the hands of Dinesh Karthick and Manish Pandey one of whom will surely play in WC 19 if they could cement their place. There are two good articles each in a different website supporting Pandey and Karthik respectively. Pandey's chance to end India's hunt for a No. 4 and No. 4 a great position for me to bat: Dinesh Karthik Who deserves the opportunity among these two>>> Whom should team India back? Discuss... sarcastic
I think Karthick has proved himself as able enough to take the Number 4 spot in Indian ODI setup. I am sure MSK prasad will claim that Karthick has been doing very well and hence Manish Pandey is no longer in the plans of Indian ODI setup. Jimmy Cliff and Rasgulla 2 Link to comment
Lannister
It should have been Karthik vs Dhoni and he will win it easily as the latter is useless in each and every department. Link to comment

At least Dhoni provides something useful to the team, going back to Karthik when we have better options is pathetic. Shameful selection. Link to comment
velu
i would rather have pandya down the order ( i am sure he will improve his stroke play agsiant pacers .. he looks raw when rying to hit out pacers ) .. should have given more chances to rahul Link to comment

Shameful selection. Think Kartik has really improved in recent years, hence the consistent performances by him be it in IPL or Ranji. We need a solid bat more than anything in this phaltu team. Enough of these hasbeen selections. velu and express bowling 2 Link to comment

Enough of these hasbeen selections. Karthik is a proven domestic bully always and an international failure always. He will score some useful 30s and 50s (like now) and then fizzle out and get dropped, then return to the domestic scene to thrash attacks and come back. Sgattick10 1 Link to comment

From what i have seen him recently, he is good at rotating strike rates and is a great timer of the ball. A better version than Jadhav and Dhoni. Link to comment

There are far better options out there. My memories of Karthik - when he mouthed off against Sidebottom in England 2007 tour ( he had some gritty knocks there) - that catch he took in 2007 WT20 against South africa in the slips - him, yuvi, and uthappa checking out a reporters ass and sachin facing the other way Trust me, we are better off giving chances to youngsters. maniac and Lannister 2 Link to comment
Khota
This thread is all wrong. Pandey is good but so is Dinesh. The thread should be about Dinesh vs dhoni. Link to comment
fineleg
Neither of these two. First give chances to KLR at #4 and then after a good run, we can decide to try other options. Edited October 25, 2017 by fineleg express bowling 1 Link to comment
Sgattick10
Pandey any day. Karthik has got enough chances and has done very little to demand a place in the squad. Manish has got a 100 against Aussies in their backyard that's good enough for me. Oh I also think KL should open with Dhawan and Rohit should bat at no. 4 .. Pandey at 5. vishalvirsingh 1 Link to comment
vishalvirsingh
Pandey is better than Karthik... pandey is a better batsman and a better fielder than karthik. Link to comment
