"If IPL has led to serious violations then it is high time the organisers realise whether what has been achieved by conducting the tournament since the past ten years can be termed as a sport or game...for it is full of illegalities and breaches of law," the court said.

"IPL has made us familiar with phrases like betting and fixing of matches. It is for the central government, RBI and organisers to now consider if conducting IPL is in interest of the game/sport," the court said in its order.

Court wants no additional responsibility related to problems involved with a massive tournament. Easiest way to escape responsibility, eliminate the source of any problem. Makes sense.

Of course, young Indians having an opportunity to make substantial amounts of money and raise their family's standard of living is completely AGAINST the country's interest.

If youre wondering why india is a gareeb third word shithole, this is the reason why. This country needs a mass genocide of 'intellectuals' before its able to move forward.

+1000

if you ask these "intellectuals" , Space program should be on hold till we build enough toilets , we should not be hosting F1 , IPL or commonwealth games till every one is above poverty line , Ambanis and Birlas should stay in 1BHKs till our cities are slums free .

Just hold everything for next 50 years !!!

Two teams were involved in betting and alleged fixing happened in IPL. Those two teams were banned, some people were jailed. So the punishment for the crimes committed are actioned upon. Now they cannot take any action unless more betting and fixing is alleged and proved. There is no basis  to be worried about this statements.

Thie following could be problematic but they can just take action upon it rather than stop the tournament.

As mentioned in the article:

"We direct the adjudicating authority to issue summons to the witnesses to appear before it on March 2. The cross- examination shall be concluded positively by March 13. The proceedings shall be completed by May 31," the court directed.

In 2013, the ED initiated adjudication proceedings against Modi under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) regarding a bank account opened by the BCCI and IPL authorities in South Africa ahead of the 2009 edition of the IPL.

All are utter crap.... IPL,Judiciary itself  etc etc are utter crap that do not care even a bit about the interest of the ordinary people. IPL  is money generating circus which benefits  only the organisers , franchise owners, players involved  etc etc.It does a lot more harm to Indian cricket than good.Judiciary does not care a bit about the precious time, money , mental peace etc etc of the 'ordinary people  preys' that  get trapped in the webs of theirs. Judiciary is a set up created  to accumulate huge amounts of money for the judges, advocates etc etc involved. If an ill fated person gets illegally  trapped in any legal case due to some frauds, it is sure that his

life is spoiled  for the remaining of his life span.
