Lol what are you gonna do. This is an internet forum. Ooh very scary. This is a forum where people get upset if I call Sachin as selfish and posts removed. There is your sense of humor. You calling an ethnicity as subservient is a joke for you as long as you put a disclaimer that its a joke. That is a joke.

You can address Bengalis as subservient Ilish eaters and it wouldn't bother me one bit. You do call UPites cow belt people...no one minds that even though it is somewhat disrespectful. You can call Sachin or Dhoni or Dada whatever you want, I don't mind. If others get upset take it up with them, only when you make personal remarks am I forced to retaliate.

Can you listen how serious you sound. You write very serious and verbose and you expect us to cathc on to your jokes. Even your write "jokes" long. Its funny that you think calling someone subservient is jokes but calling someone cowbelt is disrespectful eh.

'Cowbelt' is disrespectful but since Northies have thick skin it doesn't affect them the way 'lungi' affects Tamils on ICF.

How so? What is so disrespectful about cowbelt? lungi is the nicest thing some posters have called Tamils. Others far worse.

As a Tamilian from Chennai, I feel that Dhoni should keep as far away as possible from TN to protect his legacy .. He has reached the level of Rajni/Ajith/Vijay in TN and that comes with Crazy fans. And by crazy I mean crazyyyyyy.  Seriously TN fans cannot take criticism about their idols. And ironically with Ambani's Jio making internet access cheap, they create these half baked memes mocking virat, Rohit and other players.

And this does not stop with IPL like other team fans. When Saha fails, they create a meme. When India loses a test - meme. This goes on and on. I can give u some samples of memes that are absolutely cringe worthy. Ziva giving frooti to Dhoni, Dhoni lifting ziva. Jeez we get it. He is a good father.

And simplicity memes. Oh man. Dhoni is so simple he shook hands with a fan. Dhoni is so simple he wears viking instead of jockey..

If Dhoni had never played for CSK, his legacy would have been much better now and he would not be hated this much

@Garuda I have called Bengalis subservient 100 times on this forum, I have called Bengalis & Northies dhimmis/cowards and  described Rajputs as brainless depending on context (medieval history)....and I was dead serious on those occasions, yet no one got rattled because I also appreciate them wholeheartedly when I feel like. Here I say something about Tamils in a joking manner and you are so offended. Bar that one post I have never even used words like lungi, curd rice etc to describe Tamils, have posted about the evils of Hindi imposition and North Indian cultural domination over rest of India...yet I am the villain :phehe: and you are the righteous saint. Perhaps you need to be more chilled out and not get into the habit of taking offence when there is none.

This comes in age of Internet. Everyone is a hero in online world. Just look at ICF itself, people do and say all sorts of things here which they cannot do/say in real life.

Its not just about cricket, political view in online world are even more extreme and guess what - they are also influencing the mood of the nation.

I guess people will learn by themselves on how to filter right and wrong. And it goes both way, fans and crazy fans are also directly related to haters and crazy haters. Dhoni or any other player or person has nothing to do with what is being posted on ICF or other social media. Not everyone associate all love/hate with the person himself. Smarter people knows where to draw lines. Shouting or creating noise online is the job of morons.

Of course Dhoni has no say in this and he did not choose this. But his csk fans are the biggest reason for the hatred on the man.  They are basically online bullies. And this makes even normal sane people to hate him..

Why do you call it cow belt when cow is revered and present in many other states of India? Or do people do it thinking that this region is primarily agrarian (and backward)? Each of the northern states have their own identity yet all are lumped together as one unit. Will it be fine if we start calling all South Indian people as Madrasi because that is a norm among ignorant people even today. Nowadays cow belt is lazily thrown about to describe the poor socio-economic conditions of the so called laggard states (but Haryana is a well to do state) and cow lynchings thus giving it negative connotation. Haryana, UP, Bihar, MP all are different culturally and even linguistically (yup Hindi isn't a common denominator) just like how the South Indian states are different...

Do you do any PR stunts for Bambani . But seriously, Im not hip to your tamil friends but I live in chennai and I get absolutely no memes about Dhoni. I get plenty of comedy memes with Vadivelu, Rajini memes praising/trashing his political career, political memes.

You have plenty of fans from other groups. MI has the most fans here on ICF and all memes are trashing Dhoni. So it works on the other side of the IPL too. If you get tired of living in Chennai, go live in Mumbai and Delhi for a while. You will see all kinds of memes. If you dont want memes from CSK, you can always opt out of their group or whatever. Nobody's putting their gun to your head and asking you to sign up for them.

You are asking me? So you dont know how it came about but you call it disrespectful. It makes your point invalid and you getting pissed at me also an overreaction. No cow lynchings have nothing to do with it. And cow lynching hardly happens throughout India less so in the North. The South had zilch to coming up with that term.

In the North, South Indian people are still called Madrasi. It even happened here in ICF where some guy was talking trash about CSK, he then blurts out all Southies are this that. Dont pretend like it doesn't happen.

Meme about Saha? lol, Who has time for it. I think you are exaggerating it. Chennai fans at the stadium are still the best-behaved fans. They enjoy good cricket. They have vast knowledge about cricket in general.  Besides Dhoni's cult status is not limited to TN. Where do you think 1000s of people gathered to see Dhoni getting a haircut. His cult status is worldwide.  Do you see Rajini getting worshipped right now? He is getting eviscerated by the public.  Most of what you have said is exaggerated and twisted.  Anywho let us not divide people here by stereotyping. As a banter it is fine. Serious stereotyping will lead to unnecessary bickering. You really think this analysis by Baski needs to be taken seriously? I don't think so. He reviews lot of movies. Nobody takes it seriously. They go and troll him.

Very odd post that one. No comparable experience from any actual folks from chennai. Csk have been distinctly less popular for a comeback year thia time...memes about saha lol..

Suspect its just a usual poster posing.

I won't get pissed at you over such trivial issues. You can call the Hindi heartland cowbelt states...no one will mind it because it has become a part of political/social discourse now.

Northies who label South Indians as Madrasis are ignorant jerks..this distressing trend started with Bollywood movies a few decades back when Madras State encapsulated most of South India. Similarly calling all North East people as 'Chinki' too is equally bad.

I know this chennai guy who is an ardent fan of MI. He always abused Chennai.  I don't mind them criticizing CSK. They can do to their heart's content. But TN is different. For the record, they did not even allow to host Chennai IPL this season.

Ganguly has a huge fan base..may be because of his attitude when he was the captain.
