Cricketics
Now with all the talks of best bowling attack in the world which i believe we aren’t at this time, I can only say that we must get Aaron into Indian bowling attack soon so that he can partner Bumrah whenever needed overseas. We can even play Aaron at home and rest Bumrah and play both Bumrah and Aaron together whenever there is important test. Aaron and Bumrah together along with a handy third bowler will officially make India the best fast bowling attack in the world. We need to get Aaron fast back into the line up and also need to cut the load from Bumrah who is carrying lot of burden right now and that can drain him out. Need for speed. Btw, Siraj is fairly quick even if not as much as aaron. BrantFUGH 1 Link to comment

Sometimes you must see a quality fast bowler and just pick him. And its not like Aaron is 19 year old being thrown into international cricket. He has played top level before and will only be making his return. Aaron is a better full ball bowler than Umesh is in test matches overseas. Umesh has been good at home recently so I can’t take that away from him but overaeas he hasn’t performed and this is where we can utilise and see how Aaron does. He has been consistently bowling well and warrants selection. BrantFUGH 1 Link to comment
Deleted_User_1
If you can consistently bowl 140+, which Bumrah does mostly, you need skill than any more speed. McGrath became an ATG with bowling mostly low-mid 130s, sometimes less towards the latter part of his career. Link to comment
Deleted_User_1
Aaron is not really a test match bowler. Find someone younger and newer. I thought we had a bag of phasssht bawlers back home? Link to comment
CG
Bumrah is world class as he has pace with accuracy and Has a cricketing Brain.Accuracy is Most Imp aspect in Test Cricket.Aaron is odi material. Link to comment
Pandya_Power
Avesh, Mavi look better prospects with age on their side. Not sure if Siraj is consistently a 140+ bowler. express bowling 1 Link to comment

That's assuming Aaron would be any good in Test cricket, when he's proven to be nothing more than a run machine. Link to comment
The Dark Horse
Lot of questions.. Can he bowl consistently fast over 5 days? How accurate is he? What is his domestic form like? What is his speed nowadays? Link to comment
bowl_out
Haven't seen him perform recently.. But he is as erratic as Umesh, if not worse.. There is enough quicks waiting to get their turn - Siraj, Mavi, Nagarkoti, Rajpoot, Prasidh among others. Link to comment
The Dark Horse
In my opinion, Shivam Mavi has the capability to break into the squad. He has speed, reasonable accuracy. Have not followed him in first class, so consistency is to be seen. express bowling 1 Link to comment

Mavi is averaging 21.8 with a strike rate of 47.6 ... with 15 wickets from 4 first class matches. Economy rate of 2.7 shows that he has been sufficiently accurate. A genuine fast bowler ... FC average in the low 20s ... great strike rate and good economy rate ... gets steep bounce and big swing. Definitely a pacer who needs to be selected for our 4-day A-team. Then he got selected for the Emerging Nations U23 tournament 50 over format ... missed a couple of matches as a result ... and has a niggle after that. IMHO should have been allowed to play full Ranji season without any distraction. The Dark Horse 1 Link to comment
vishalvirsingh
Avesh and Siraj are the best. Is varun aroon bowling better than them That has to be decided. Two of these three should be fast tracked for tests as Ishant is tiring down and bowling slower.. Umesh n Bhuvi are also not looking great. Bumrah and Shami are looking solid. Link to comment
