Here’s the Bengal squad

Abhimanyu Easwaran (captain), Sreevats Goswami, Abhishek Raman, Vivek Singh, Manoj Tiwary, Agniv Pan, Ritwik Roy Chowdhury, Shahbaz Ahmed, Debabrata Das, Arnab Nandi, Writtick Chatterjee, Ishan Porel, Akash Deep, Sayan Ghosh, Ravi Kant Singh, Ayan Bhattacharjee.

“Ashok Dinda is a legend of Bengal cricket. We salute him for his contribution. But dropping him is a decision taken by the selectors. Lately, he (Dinda) has been coming in and out of the ground while some of his deliveries are not even reaching the ’keeper,” Arun Lal, the coach-cum-mentor of Bengal was quoted as saying in The Telegraph.

Dinda dropped as he wasn’t effective in the Vijay Hazare Trophy

In the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Ishan Porel and Akash Deep fared alike Dinda in the wickets’ column. But the duo has much better economy rates than Dinda. Lal also put forth how the 35-year-old gave away runs at an alarming rate in the games versus Tamil Nadu and Gujarat.

“He came to the camp only for two-three days and when he was available, he hurt his leg, which was unfortunate… In this year’s Vijay Hazare Trophy, being the strike bowler, he wasn’t as effective in the two key matches versus Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. He leaked runs,” Lal, also a former Indian cricketer, mentioned.

Want to see what pace and how Aquib Qureshi bowls. Tushar probably got dropped after he performed poorly in Vijay Hazare trophy. But he is a talented bowler and should have been selected.

Joy Bista.  I still remember somebody post about him on ICF and that he should play for India "right away".

Tushar Deshpande is back.

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has sacked two selectors - Pradeep Kasliwal and Sanjay Patil - after a controversy over the squad picked for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, India's domestic T20 tournament. While picking an inexperienced bowling attack as part of the 15-man squad on Monday, the five-member panel omitted their frontline quick Tushar Deshpande, leading to an uproar in the Mumbai circuit.

Deshpande picked 15 wickets in a victorious Vijay Hazare Trophy campaign last year. Upon finding out Deshpande's omission, MCA president Vijay Patil summoned the selectors on Wednesday. It is understood the president sacked Kasliwal and Sanjay Patil, and the MCA later issued a statement saying the remaining three members of the panel - Milind Rege (chairman), Shridhar Mandale and Guru Gupte - were "appointed" as members of the "adhoc" senior selection committee until a new panel is appointed after the association's AGM.

Deshpande and left-arm spinning allrounder Sujit Nayak have now been added to the Mumbai squad for the T20 tournament, which starts on Friday. Mumbai will take on Mizoram at the Wankhede Stadium in a Group D fixture on Friday.

This is the second controversy this year around Mumbai's selectors, after the entire committee, with Ajit Agarkar as chairman, had stepped down in March. Mumbai had had an up and down 2018-19 season in which they won the Vijay Hazare Trophy but failed to make the quarter-finals in the Ranji Trophy, which put pressure on Agarkar's panel.

Mumbai squad (for first three games): Suryakumar Yadav (capt), Jay Bista, Aditya Tare, Sarfaraz Khan, Sujit Naik, Siddhesh Lad, Shubham Ranjane, Dhawal Kulkarni, Shams Mulani, Parikshit Valsangkar, Raunak Sharma, Kruthik Hanagavadi, Deepak Shetty, Tushar Deshpande, Dhrumil Matkar

good decision.

a fast medium bowler can play for 4 to 7 years and not more at ranji or international level , after that he declines.

a batsman can play from 6 to 11 years if he is very fit and good.

if the player is stretching his career some selector has to take a CALL
