I may be wrong but doesn't bumrah have a hyperextending elbow? Would explain the lift that he gets on some pitches despite being a relatively short guy.

I was checking Siraj's  bowling speeds in IPL 2017 on IPLT20.com

 

His  fastest speeds in the 6 matches he played 

 

1.  144 k

2.  145 k

3.  145 k

4.  139 k

5.  141 k

6.  144 k

 

Average speeds carry little  value as he bowls lots of slower balls 

 

The ball-by-ball speeds on that site show lots of 140 k+ balls in  4 of the 6 matches he played.

 

Siraj needs to bowl at full speed and hit the deck hard if he wants to succeed like he did in domestic, IPL and A-team matches.

Two new balls made the game vastly different..Shami was very good early on when it was played with one. But Zak was standout he could reverse when opposition could not in the similar period of the game in the two innings

siraj bowls full length , full length balls are hit but are wicket taking , he is not like ishant who bowls short n fast but his full balls are slow and easy to play..siraj bowls full length most of the time and is wicket taking.

 

he is bound to suceed as he has come on TALENT and not on BACKING and Support ( like stuart Binny ).

 

If he was not very good he would not have reached at this level...Just wait and watch , he is bound to SUCEED and be wicket taking.

On a different note, Kapil's records are staggering. He will probably remain  as the greatest cricketer.. forever from this land. His captaincy in 1983 worldcup win is thousands of time greater than Imran Khan's win in 92. India was never a strong team while Pak had been a good team since 70s. Kapil is easily the most underrated captain.

he got tremendous swing but was a military medium bowler, i forgot the other fellow the recent one he got similar speed and swing...

 

i remember P Kumars test he did well. Swung a mile.
