Speed and performance of pacers and spinners in important matches

Recommended Posts

i would like to believe stuart binny bowls a shade better than vijay shankar ..in that case they should also take stuart binny as a back up all rounder in case hardik gets Hurt as any way in africa and australia kedar's bowling wont be a success.

i mean all selectors were supporting stuart binny earlier now he is no where. his batting was fine just that his bowling was always a bit Slow trundling.

but steyn did jack on uae conditions .... :dontknow:

He was referring to bowling speeds

Both Indian quicks bowled 135 k to 147 k in the last test series in SL .... in hot and  humid conditions

Pakistani seamers are bowling 126 k to 140 k in this test series.

Kb indian ocean littoral states in mid summer are not for outdoors sport u need to be a special superhuman to bowl 140 all day. The humidity makes the feels like temp 5 degrees more and it usually hovers around 35 to 40 UAEs dry heat can be fought with fluids but not SL TN or Kerala its something else. Geneuinly without trolling only Aussie pacers can out pace Indian pace squad atm in tests.

If we are talking about humidity thn these players play mostly domestic cricket in punjab in humid weather.

I said it becoz many cricket teams dont play to pakistan in UAE at summer time, thats why PCB only invite them after sep/oct in UAE.

you will get heatstroke if you try to play any outdoor sport in june/july.

If i am not wrong, when last time austrailia visited us in UAE, mexwell or someone in the team gt the heatstroke even after sep/oct.

Its basic science. When its humid sweat does not evaporate and dissipate heat but stays on the skin, its dry then the fluids that you drink will come out as sweat and evaporate and cool the body down. So dry heat can be combated with lots of fluid and wet towels around the neck.

Just eager to know sainis bowling speed! @express bowling ji @rkt.India ji .....kuch pata chala kya???

These domestic-game speed-guns are so inaccurate, it is difficult to gauge.

2 years back, he was bowling 128 k to 138 k in a Ranji match.

Yes correct!! So if he can clock 138 k on those domestic speed guns he will defiantly cross 140kph in the internationals, very exciting talent one for the future!!

Siraj would be a good pick.

Siraj too has been expensive and a bit too raw. I would like Ankit Rajpoot first because he is good with yorkers too.and will bring a tall bowler variation.

Yadav is happy to play as test bowler.

I believe we need to find someone else for ODIs.

From the article - However, Umesh clarified that he was not quite ready to start picking and choosing formats. "Playing both Tests and ODIs is good and particularly for me, because I am at an age when the more cricket I play the better it is for me," he said. "I don't want to be at a stage where I am saying I don't want to play this format or that, I want to keep going. I would love to play in all formats."

He is not a frontline pacer in ODI's and will keep playing the odd matches when Bumrah and Bhuvi are rested.

India should also groom Avesh khan on some A tours, he touches 140 ideally would have liked if he could cross 145k with his height & bounce would be a handful, still slightly less on pace for my liking.

Avesh is a special talent. With his height and the bounce that he gets 140k's will be more than enough. One thing he should improve is his fitness. I would like to see how he bowls in a 4 day game.

Avesh is only 20 and will likely still get quicker.

India should find a left armer like khejrolia or Khaleel, milind or somebody, all right handers are not ideal

This season will be important for Khejroliya. Milind is very unimpressive. Khaleel might make his ranji debut this season as Nathu still hasn't recovered from his back stress fracture he sustained during IPL and rehabilitating in NCA.

i fail to understand why only some U19 bowlers fulfill the potential, this guy Milind was a regular in u19s touching 140 & in domestic tournaments I saw him struggling to touch 130, this is beyond me, surprisingly he has not been on a televised game where he has done well, unfortunately did not play any IPL game, did not get a televised game where he took wickets or scored runs, which could show his skills, he can hold the bat well too! I hope really hope he picks up pace taking tips from bhuvi who never looked like touching 130s now bowls at 145!!

He was on televised games during syed mushtaq ali trophy. His bowling action is a bit messed up now. Bowls very wide of the crease, falls to his right and lose place. He did bowl 130-137

Regarding Chama Milind, read an espncricinfo article “Chama Milind (Hyderabad) - 35 wickets, nine matches, average 22.17

Before this season, Chama Milind, 22, was known as an effective short-format bowler. This time around, he was one of the architects of Hyderabad's journey to the quarter-finals. The left-arm seamer even played a role with the bat: along with B Sandeep, he put on 267 runs - the highest eighth-wicket partnership in Hyderabad's history - in his team's ten-wicket win over Services. Milind, who is part of the Delhi Daredevils squad in the IPL, claimed a match haul of seven wickets against Mumbai in the quarter-final, including a five-for in the first innings. He picked up seven wickets in Hyderabad's last league game, against Andhra, as well.”

This is perhaps the first time we have a stronger or as strong bowling compared to batting.

Loving this transformation along with the ruthlessness of this team.

If we want to stay at the top then having a really strong bowling attack is mandatory.

having a good keeper is also necessary. we need a long term keeper-batsman at 6, who can connect the middle and lower orders and also keep well. saha has done well, but we need to groom others.

I saw several 120 122 normal stock balls not slower ones so its 120 to 135 from what ibsaw.

When? I have seen him bowl 140 plus too, up to 142.  He was very quick in that game. He probably is now consistently quicker than before after refinement in his action. He bounced out Warner in the 2-day Warm-up game earlier this year.
