BlueBee
The same Bhuvi would have been smashed in Aus flat decks. Mosher, beetle, Rasgulla and 3 others 4 2 Link to comment

express bowling
Bhuvi should have played this tournament from the beginning in place of Jadeja. I have been saying this from match 1. ...because of the swing-friendly conditions and seam-friendly pitch. Bhuvi always bowls well in such conditions and a pacer is anyway more likely to succeed on these pitches compared to a spinner.Having said that...our team management should not play Bhuvi on flat pitches like the ones expected in most matches in World T20. His success on green-tops should not be extrapolated to flat surfaces automatically. Mosher 1 Link to comment
express bowling
Where is Radhika ? She is conspicuous by her absence in a thread celebrating a good bowling performance by Bhuvi. Link to comment
Ironhide
So how did he bowl yesterday? Did he get his swing back?My only problem with him is he often goes wicketless there by putting more pressure on the spinners. New guy
One interesting stat about Bhuvi is that he has an astounding 65% dot balls in T20s in the power play overs even on flat pitches. That is outstanding beetle 1 Link to comment
New guy
The same Bhuvi would have been smashed in Aus flat decks. Considering that he has 65% dot balls in first 6 overs of all T20s, I don't call it as being smashed. However he fails to take wickets. Link to comment
vishalvirsingh
India Should play 4 pacers ( bhuvi also) in the Final ahead of one of the SPinners...( jaddu or Jadeja)I guess he was too good against UAE beetle 1 Link to comment
vishalvirsingh
4/2/8/3 against UAE too should gurantee him a place in the final 11 against Bangla in final. Link to comment

However he fails to take wickets. You're hailing him as if he has done something great. UAE is piss poor and in those helpful conditions he would always do great.Let him do the same in less helpful pitches let alone flat decks. Not long ago he was hit like a club level bowler for 100+ runs in AUS Mosher, beetle and New guy 1 2 Link to comment

Not long ago he was hit like a club level bowler for 100+ runs in AUSSo you ignore that the 64% I was quoting was for his entire career and not UAE game? Also you are confusing his ODI performance (100+ runs in Aus) with his T20 performance. He has been very good in T20s If UAE was so poor why didn't other lineups including Amir not do as well against them as Bhuvi? Edited March 4, 2016 by New guy Link to comment
express bowling
Horses for courses policy is a good option in most cases.Very few players are all-condition ones and they should be used prudently for best results of the team.Bhuvi needs to be played on green-tops in LOIs and should not be played on flatter decks. Both are equally important. He may go for lot less runs but with 1 or no wicket is just not good. He is a beast in this conditions, as good as anyone. New guy 1 Link to comment
