zen
Team that can play for next 2 years or so: * KL Raul (WK) - can swap position with Rohit at 4 * Gambhir / Rahane / Dhawan (played some useful knocks in the last few games) * Kohli * Rohit * Panday (on potential) * YK Pathan * K Pan * Mishra * Bumrah * 2 from - Zak (Captain) / Nathu (Wild Card) / Nehra (excellent in PPs) / Yadav (among wkts) / Bhuvi / Shami / Sran The bowling attack has a nice mix of pacers and spinners .... The batting has a few players who can play consistently and those who can hit a bit as well Updated: * Zak can be played as the captain * 11 could be updated based on either notable performance or potential Edited May 22, 2016 by rett tweaker, Debutant and CurtisKem 2
sourab10forever
If based on IPL, Ashwin would not be there.
bulbul
If your selection is based on IPL performance you cannot select Ashwin
sourab10forever
Murugan or Ravi? And not Dhoni either. Gambhir for his captaincy. Bhuvi has done better than Bumrah thus far this IPL sscomp32, beetle and tweaker

This can change as per performance and depending up on the potential of a player, but so far: * Rahane * Rohit * Kohli * Dhoni * Sarfaraz * K Pan * Ashwin * Shami * Mishra * Bumrah * Nathu (wild card) The bowling attack has a nice balance with 3 pacers and 3 spinners .... The batting has a few players who can play consistently and those who can hit a bit as well Rahane n rohit consistency in international cricket is a big question mark??? Also their S/r drop where is manish pandey? Now if ipl is the only criteria where is raina, bhuvi
WC2011INDIA
Rohit and Rahane together is a recipe for disaster while running. Knowing Rohit, he will run out Rahane 5 out 10 times. tweaker, adi B and Ankit_sharma03

Now if ipl is the only criteria where is raina, bhuvi TBF, I have seen some of the openers and it appears as if some of them need to develop a little before being drafted in to international cricket. So in the short term - Rohit and Rahane look like better bet in terms of relative consistency Also SRs are relative as well so it would depend up on the pitches and bowling attack. So say if in certain conditions if you have a bowling attack that gives 160-170, you need players who can consistently get you that kind of total .... on the other hand, if you have a bowling attack that gives 200+, you need more players who play with a huge strike rate as if you have players who play generally steadily to 170, you will still lose the game Manish Panday should have been there. I felt like I was missing something (updated OP with Panday) It is not totally based on IPL performance but a mix of IPL performances, international performances, potential (Nathu has not played a game yet iirc), etc. IPL performances would be counted if we are replacing an incumbent. So for e.g. if you want to replace Dhoni as a WK, you need to consider someone who has performed in IPL (as his international record may not be too relevant) Edited April 24, 2016 by rett

N sometimes himself tooo and if he manages to survive he will runout kohli as well Imagine our runrate while these two batting at top 6 and the no of ball they take to get in and after that undoing it by throwing thier wkt. Both gud for opening in Odi t20, well even rohit perfomance was very very below avg his t20 replacment shud be soon seeked. Rahane shud nowere be near t20 squad Luckily we have time till next t20 wc, we shud hope Iyer, manan, unmukt, samson, sarfraz , pandya bros, kuldeep yadav and few bowlers come gud n become mature in next few yrs.
