Has Kuldeep made it imposssible for Kohli to ignore him now?

We'll play 5 bowlers most likely, unless the pitch looks like a green mamba. Ashwin will come in at 6. and we'll have a 3 spinners + 2 pacers combo methinks.  Ashwin has to play, as his record vs lefties is great iirc, and Lanka has a ton of lefties in their lineup from what I remember.

Well you cant really blame him if he doesnt play Kuldeep. Both Ashwin and Jadeja have been awesome match winners as far as test matches are concerned. Unless we play 3 spinners, Kuldeep may have to sit out.

Kohli should start following the horses for courses policy as he at times does with pacers. If there is not much spin expected from pitch then Kuldeep should play, as both Ash and Jaddu are ineffective on non-spinning pitches. So it will all depend on the pitch.

if we go with 5 bowlers , we can easily accomodate kuldeep .. ashwin + jaddu + kuldeep + 2 pacers :p:

In subcontinent kuldeep needs to be played only if we play 3 spinners. Given ashwins and jadejas record in subcontinent, it will be foolishness to drop either of them. Also ashwin is as good as a specialist batsman in sc conditions. Outside SC kuldeep can be the lone spinner.

Shocked at seeing suggestions of dropping Jadeja in subcontinent. Guy is ranked 1 bowler in test cricket and it will be worst to any player if he is dropped at such stage of career. Similarly Ashwin is ranked 3 and he is proper batsman too.

The mob is fickle . They just enjoy blood being spilt

At home warriors are useless duds overseas.

Whoever is in best form out of of three spinners should play. It can change every game for that sakes. There is no need to play all three.

Rankings and other things don't matter when these supposed match winners cannot pick a single wicket and go missing in big tourneys....

No one's place should be for granted .  Who ever can produce in the settings / pitch should be picked.

Jadeja and Ashwin have been embarassing in the CT and they need to sit down , quite simple.

And the mob once again can't differentiate between different formats

Kohli has little guts or will or general cricketing sense ,don't expect much tbh.Unless he is not satisfied with his own perfomance as captain nothing will change.Thats the curse of making a star batsman your captain, impunity comes easy.

Jadeja has played good in subcontinent because he's been given the chance.  Jadeja has played utterly poor overseas hence he's a home dummy.

Has Kuldeep been given a chance at home ? No . .......So why continuing to insisnt with players who we know are only good at home turf ?  Why not give new players chance who may play at home and away both ?   If we continue to play Jadeja and Ashwin at home and new players overseas we'll never have a settled team.   Might as well give new players a try at home so they can turn out to be players who can do well overseas too unlike Jadeja and Ashwin
