Un -Lucky Cricketers : Test Era : Post Your Views

I think some players very lucky to get selected in test matches for their respected Countries but others  are un -Lucky despite their good performances either selectors ignores them or they have Rift with cricket boards.

 

umar Akmal hits 129 and 75 on debut away from Asia ( NZ) 1000 plus test runs ignores by Pakistan.

 

Rodney Redmond of NZ hits 165 on debut never gets second chance because 4 mos later team announce for WI and Turner return in the team 

Redmond was left  out 

 

please post your view if you know such performer, I think Atul Wasan ( who swings both way)had five For in England vs India test but his career over when he returns to India.

Praveen Kumar had a great series in England in ideal conditions and since never returned

Pravin Amre.   Class bat.  Look him up.   He's become the best batting coach in the business now.   He was Dravid before there was a Dravid.

when I was in college in Bombay, mid 70's,Half a dozen players were near test selection including fast bowlers, spinners, openers and all rounder but they ended up playing vs touring visiting teams, never gets selected but I think BCCI now improves on their rotation selection policy so we found saha and rohit Sharma.(moves from Rajasthan)

 

without playing first class cricket some country allows, certain someone, in internationals, but not happen in india.once Chetan chauhans father was in parliament saying '' my son suppose to be selected  in the Indian test team''

 

he was selected in the Indian team as Sunil gavaskar's opening partner, who hits 2000 test runs with highest of 97.he was good opener but he need to keep moving from certain states to available for Indian team.I am glad,we have Gujarati players plenty of them, now playing at various cricket level.

 

amber Roy,ashok gandotra,ajay ratra (century in WI by Indian keeper ), ajay sharma,wasan,parsana,d (guj) sudhir nayak (77 @eng on debut ) s. amaranth (debut test 100) were too good but selectors drops them without give them ample opportunity.eng gave chance to their new player, up to 7 test,'' we go by 4 test innings ''

pankaj still playing FC in India but he gave 137 odd, on day one of his début test in England but never get chance even in India, I think sandeep Sharma (cop now by profession) most unlucky bowler, who should play test cricket for india.probably he playing some ODI

MOHD WASIM CENTURY IN EACH INNINGS OF HIS DEBUT TEST not establish his test career because of poor FC next seasons.left out by Pakistan.I forget other player from WI ( other than rowe 214 and 100 not out on début, followed with 302 vs eng retired at the age of 24) who hits 100 on début but he was dropped very next test because wicb claims ''he bats way slow otherwise WI can win test''

 

ashok mankad I think highest runs  scorer  by aggregates (career)in ranji trophy not plays longer for India.list is big.

 tom curran  should be in by now but broad and Anderson together took near 888 test wickets, kept every new prospect outside.I think broad should go, hit one  50 every 25 test.
