Khota
Dhoni is fooling everyone. I feel bad for the blind followers. I know it takes humility and maturity to admit mistake but you guys need to. 5 runs freaking 5 runs. What a shame. Ohh but he scored in SL. Look at his average. dhoni in this form is done. He will still score against teams with poor fast bowling resources like srilanka or west indies and against bowlers who bowl mid 130s at max. Nothing wrong with Dhoni it's just natural that hand eye coordination comes down with age and you become a shadow of what you were. We play him 2 years later in 2019 at the crucial number 5,6 positions and we are probably going to repent much like how we played Ashwin Jadeja in CT not realising that LOI game has moved on with finger spinners. This! Very well written post. Edited September 21, 2017 by Khota Link to comment

Sorry, but your agenda against Dhoni is showing when you back a noob with failures in A-tours as an option over a guy who's performance is far, far above the average performance required by a wicketkeeper in LoIs. We are talking about current dhoni. Quit living in past. I was his fan too but there is a time for everything. Link to comment

Dhoni averages high because he shuts shop at the other while the other guy does all the work and then score some freebies. Pant is way better against fast bowlers than Dhoni is. The only thing where Dhoni edges out is use of DRS and regular stumpings. These guys know it and still argue. Link to comment
Vk1
In odis most teams have one or two bowlers who can bowl around 145+. Those guys usually bowl at the beginning and then come back to bowl the 33rd over... just the time when Dhoni usually comes on strike. And if teams plan to bowl to Dhoni on his midrib he may just struggle. Link to comment
