Navdeep Saini making debut todays

And Saini needs to be given atleast 5  to 7 ODIs on the trot before he is judged.

This is the most important part.

If he thinks that 1 failure means dropping then he would never perform.

I hope Saini has recovered fully from his injury ... and bowls at full pace and with control.

He looks the best when he bowls full steam and bowls a good length punctuated by bouncers.

He is at his worst when he floats the ball up and bowls too full.  Something to guard against from his side.

And this is exactly what happened 2 times in his first over ... both went for 4s.

With what ever I have seen so far, I am impressed with him....

No help what so ever from the pitch for the pace bowlers....but still got Lewis jumping...

His line and length is good and seems like finished product and ready for intl cricket

Saini in his first spell of his debut ODI

4 - 0 - 12 - 0

After 2 half volleys in his first over which went for 8 runs ... he has bowled a good line and length with high pace, bounce and some seam movement ... and gave away just 4 runs in his next 3 overs.

Has bowled some good bouncers and hit Hope on the body with a short ball.

Fastest.  148.4 kph

Average. 141.1 kph

Navdeep Saini to Roston Chase, out Bowled!! This is a ripper from Saini. Slips in the yorker at 139kph, and Chase's bat doesn't come down in time to keep it out. Brilliant delivery. He's removed both set batsmen in this spell, and with two contrasting deliveries. Roston Chase b Navdeep Saini 38(48) [4s-3]
