Kedar scores 2 runs more and has SR better by massive 16 runs per 100. PSB_Zone Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 The thing is u cannot play manish and shreyas at no. 5. They are not no. 5 or 6 players. Jadhav is 33 years old, with his fitness not much left in him. Rahul/Rahane/manis/shreyas are all no. 4 contenders only one can play.

A difference of 16 runs per 100 ball is far to much now-a-days. It is a huge gap that Pandey has to fill if he has to be selected over Kedar. However, Pandya has done much better than Ajinkya as seen in stats posted above.

He is not a power hitter but serviceable. But he is being a liability in field (drops at least a catch each match, couple of midfields a guaranteed) and bowling novelty is wearing off.

He's more likely to come in with 4 outfielders in overs 10-40 at that position. And he is very good at hitting gap boundaries - better than he is at hitting power boundaries.
Straight Drive Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 Ajinkya Rahane has a bad combination of Average and SR for this age ODI. Averaging 36 at SR of 39 where we have better option in Manish Pandey with avg of 39 @ SR 93. Pandey is also a good fielder like Ajinkya.
