This.  Imagine how wore the black guy (in this case Zondo, or bavuma in tests) feel like when they surely know they are not in the team for merit and just a quota player. Not good for both whites and blacks

BS...Richard Levi, Colin Ingram types were all not up to the mark. Marchant de Lange was earmarked and prioritised, he had injury problems. Amla, Philander and Rabada are amongst the 3 best in the world at their jobs....originally everyone sighed that they were quota picks. Kyle Abbot didn't get games because he wasn't good enough. It's not easy to get ahead of Steyn, Morkel, Philander and Rabada. Stuart mcgill didn't play much for Australia. Was there a quota system there? Just he wasn't good enough to play ahead of Shane warne in lineup that only had room for one spinner. Temba bavuma has shown good promise but he wasn't picked yesterday in favour of Klaussen that looks horrible.

 

A lot of people of this forum feel if they come out and defend white people, they'll get to be part of the white fraternity. Pathetic.

Stuart macgill was unlucky because he played in era when Warne was their , several of west indies quicks could had been world beater if they got chance in early 80s but it was really difficult at that time to be in windies

 

In 2007 SA had to send black oldies like roger telemachus  in WC while ignoring the likes of emerging players like Steyn .

 

Indian cricket team don't have quota but it does  not mean all batsmen fire.even without quota very few player become champion.

 

As I earlier said quota has deep psychological effect on emerging cricketers and we don't know how many whites abandoned cricket or just running to Aus or England.

 

And if some think that they are part of white fraternity because they oppose quota then there are people who think supporting blacks even when they are rioting makes them champion of human rights

if you follow domestic cricket in sa you know 

 

good white player he is miles better then cloured player in fc team won’t be picked cos white . He will be a bat and get picked finally , bats 7 so black guys get good slots . Then gets 50 at 7 next week dropped . Back in again at 7 . Gets a run at 7 does well . Dropped again 

 

meanwhile a loser like zondo will be batting all year at 4 in same team and play despite being crap but what an opportunity to devolip with such a run . Also black guy will get overs to aid development lol
