But forgot his Yorkers :wall:

Has bowled better yorkers in the last 4 games.

There was an interesting discussion among the commentators about the low % of yorkers being seen in the last 2 years in T20s.

The reason for this happening according to them is ...  modern coaches think that the slower balls have a much bigger margin for error compared to yorkers.  They are instructing the pacers to bowl these deliveries mainly and cut down on yorkers.

It is however being observed that all this new theory is bull sh!t.

yorkers can prevent 2-3 runs, outswingers get wickets, know ur priority . in test, odi outswingers will be wordly, yorkers only in t-20s.

i  am more excited to see india test series in eng than loi.

I didnt know there was an RCB match today. Looks like the bowlers bowled well.

Umesh bowled a fiery spell of 3 overs today.

Hit Gayle twice on the chest with nasty  rising deliveries, made him hop and jump too ... bounced out 3 batters including Rahul and Gayle ...  got swing with his pitches up balls ... bowled an excellent line ... mixed up lengths really well.

D.Jones, G.Smith and D.Sammy were ecstatic about his bowling today.

Siraj  bowled quickly ... picked up a wicket with a rising short ball ... bowled some zippy stump directed balls ... but I feel that he needs to bowl a few more bouncers.

Umesh has bowled so well in this season, consistently picking up wickets but he has been down on pace bowling around 135kph to 144kph mostly, this is what worrying me the most :wp26:,  is he intentionally  bowling within himself?? Or has he seriously lost his pace coz of age?? want your views on it guys @Mosher @rkt.india @express bowling @Rightarmfast @Suhaan

his slight change of action has lead to reduction in pace and tbh that reduction is negligible, but what it has done for him his made him more accurate, got him more swing. Look at his first over today. it was as immaculate as McGrath.

Umesh has been bowling at this pace for some time now. I think age has something to do with it because its not a drastic drop in pace. Happy with the way he has been bowling though.
