Well played, out-clutched us when it mattered. Also a more complete performance with many players stepping up, I guess that made the difference in the end. Hoping for 4 more enthralling tests, sporting pitches, clear weather and some great crowds. Always a pleasure to follow test matches in England, next step the 'Home of Cricket'.

Who are the English fans here? Anyone apart from @YCCC ?

I'll take that but batting needs to improve. Bowlers bailed us out in this Test, very much like watching Yorkshire. The batsmen will need to step up at Lord's, and Hampshire and The Oval. Lots of runs on those grounds I suspect.

Changes for Lord's. Malan out, Rory Burns of Surrey or Joe Clarke from Worcester in. Stokes is on trial, the *ing muppet, so he'll need replacing. Would like Porter to get a go. His nagging line and length should go well at Lord's although it weakens the tail considerably. If Woakes is fit it will probably be him for his potential for lower order runs. No idea on the status of his injury tbh

Congratulation england!! Curran is the find of the series already, trent boult esque  left arm skiddy pace, good bowling action, ball goes straight out of his hand then suddenly swings and dips in late, handy with bat  and straightlaced attitude..

Meanwhile who is our find of the series?? A new ishant sharma? :phehe:

You  won't find any unless you try them !!

Everyone and their grandmother knew exactly how numbers , 1,2,3,5 and 6 were going to fair in England .

Deserved winners. Bottom line, more all-round performances and team effort, many players stepped up at crucial times especially during batting. Even Adil Rashid who hardly bowled, chipped in with crucial runs and wickets.

India's biggest worry, which will make England more confident, is how limp the 5 specialists batsmen were...not one should any aptitude to play the long innings...big worry...amazing that not one barring Kohli could last more than 50 balls!! across two innings.

Congratulations to England.  The team earned the win.  Good to see Curran rising to the occasion.  Stokes with the ball as well.

I still believe India are the better side and should win the series.  But its not going to be easy.  Both sides can do better than this.  Here's hoping the rest of the series is as thrilling as T1.

Take Kohli's 200 runs out and there is nothing to show for the 5 specialist batsmen :((

Putting aside lack of runs, the other five couldn't buckle down and occupy the crease,

summed up perfectly by DK..finished off so well yesterday, and then today's morning some swing..pokes his bat out and gone in the 1st over of the day , England suddenly favourites to win from 1st over of the day 4!
