Many of you are underestimating the synergies that would come by playing metronomical Jadeja as a fifth bowler instead of the idiot Hardik Pandya. You would have 6 specialist batsmen, 1 allrounde plus insanely economical bowler, plus 4 insanely economical bowlers. It's a pity that none of you understand the principles of Cruyjffism.

As much as I support Pant, I would play Pant ahead of Jadhav only. Dhoni in a final, has increased threat of effecting crucial stumpings of specialist batsmen to spinners that Pant may not be capable of.

In the Asia cup the pitches being what they are, that bowling lineup can work, even with only two seamers.

 

But we are building for England WC. Where Hardik has to play tbh, as 3rd or 4th seamer. Bhuvneshwar, Jasprit , Khaleel  and Kuldeep can make up the rest

 

Its not a choice between Pandya and Chahal, if anything its Jadeja and Chahal. 

 

I wish that had picked Krunal this was a great opportunity wasted.

On pattas, it is hard to stop teams from getting big totals .... for e.g.,  in Jo’berg, Aus-SA game produced 800+ runs. Both sides have good bowling attacks .... the composition of attack depends upon conditions

Bad fielder in general and worse against his own bowling.

Chahal is super useless, due to novelty factor and SA ,eng doesn't play spin well he has not been thrashed quite frequently as of now. But he is no different than mishra once batsmen goes after him, he also is the bad fielder and can't hold the bat. Worst of all this idiot ball no balls in every match.
