Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) have traded Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis and brought Mandeep Singh, who played for the Virat Kohli-captained franchise, as per reports in Mumbai Mirror.

Mandeep has experience for Punjab

Stoinis was brought by Punjab in 2016 for INR 55 lakhs and he went on to play 19 matches for them across three seasons in which he scored 262 runs and nipped out 13 wickets. Last season, Punjab used the Right To Match (RTM) card on the cricketer and bagged him for a whopping INR 6.20 crores. In the 2018 edition, the 29-year-old played only four encounters.

Mandeep, on the contrary, had a fairly decent season for the Challengers last time around. He mostly batted in the lower middle-order and racked up 188 runs in 11 matches at an average of 18.80 with one half-century to his credit. The 26-year-old has previously plied his trade for Punjab, which also happens to be his home team.

Mandeep to Kings is a good move they just need to get rid of Yuvraj

Yuvraj is a Punjabi icon. Even though he has played for every IPL team, I think it will be good for him to retire with Punjab in the last couple of his years of his career.

bad move for rcb.. rcb need some quality indian batsmen

Just like Delhi shows you why Rcb have never won anything they let go of good players fail to use them effectively and their foreign support staff is a complete failure selecting random foreign players and lead by a poor captain.

RCB buys another non performer in their team.As if there weren't enough in last 11 seasons.Crap bowling and crap batting unit.

Two dumb moves letting go of Qdk he would have been handy in South African conditions and trading Mandeep for a mediocre Stoinis.

As per reports Mike Hesson is the new coach of Kings replaces Brad Hodge

That will be a great addition I think... Ashwin & Hesson could make things more interesting, though Hessons t20 record is not that stellar with NZ

Mandeep was average for RCB, but his fielding saved a lot in the small chinnaswamy ground.. RCB will miss his fielding a lot more than his batting I think

Indian batsman wise they have 6 if you count Kohli, Pappu, Vohra,Sarfaraz, Pavan Deshpande, Anirudha Joshi.. They need to utilize them well & Kohli needs to trust them to deliver

With Woakes availabiity being a question mark due to 2019 WC , they need a seam bowling alrounder.. (albeit stoinis is a batting rather than a bowling alrounder )
