Global.Baba Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 (edited) Just saw highlights of his knock posted by @Jimmy Cliff He looked a million bucks against WI but who doesn’t against them. Shaw needs to cash in. Has the keys to kingdom. Needs to just make it his own. Edited November 29, 2018 by Global.Baba UrmiSinhaRay and velu 1 1
velu Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 he would like batting in australian pitches i guess .. no swing but pace and bounce .. expecting sehwag like run a ball innings through the series considering his height , cummins , starc & co cnat target him with bouncers MonikaHox and UrmiSinhaRay 1 1

Maybe Pant comes a close 2nd especially after his Knock in England. raki05 1
philcric Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 Hopefully We really need a few batsmen to nail their spots for long term. There's question mark against every batsman apart from Kohli. Global.Baba, velu, UrmiSinhaRay and 1 other 1 1 2

The problem is even if Shaw scores 100s with epic strikerates, he will be put on the bench in LOI’s and then he will start having the itch seeing all the accolades and ads going to the LOI players. or Shaw and one of Vijay or Rahul will perform which means one of them will be dropped which means Dhawan will return and then we will see Rahul/Dhawan or Vijay/Dhawan opening again raki05 and UrmiSinhaRay 1 1

rkt.india Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 i would never want him to be like Sehwag who averages 34 in SENA UrmiSinhaRay 1

Also Sehwag was a victim of his own hype. His 2 good innings were very well calculated and could have had more if he put his head to it. They were not absolute smack everything type innings. Hope Shaw doesn’t go that way. UrmiSinhaRay 1

rtmohanlal Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 i think he is either going to be huge success as an opener or utter flop. To be precise there is no mid way it seems. He seems to be an aggressive batsman by nature. He is so close to Lara than any body else in his methods. If he becomes at least 80% a batsman as Lara, then that would benefit the team immensely UrmiSinhaRay 1

ShoonyaSifar Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 Let us tone down the expectations. Shaw has a huge learning curve ahead of him. Doing well in this series will be great for his development but its absolutely okay even if he doesn't do as well. Hope the management gives him the assurance that he will have all 4 tests and should go out there and have fun. I wonder how heavily the Aussies will sledge him. Is sledging a part of elite honesty BS Aussies have been talking about? UrmiSinhaRay 1

' out and out speed' does not seem to trouble him at all. i think ENG is one place where he would meet with the most examination. UrmiSinhaRay 1
Austin 3:!6 Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 Another Jinx thread by Babaji. He opened a thread on Khaleel Ahmed and he turned into trundler. Breath of fresh air thread for Krunal and he started stinking from very next game.Lord save Shaw now Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk Vilander, Jimmy Cliff, UrmiSinhaRay and 4 others 1 5 1
