Propaganda. Nawaz shouldn't have signed up, maybe he didn't have a choice.

For all the tiger references, Thackeray & his child & grandchild never ran for office. They managed to win a grand total of one state election that too alongside BJP in late 90s. Their power center was & is limited to the cash cow of Mumbai & BMC. Even there the BJP has come to level terms in the last election.

Sharad Pawar for all his corruption seems to have had more reach & appeal than this tiger.

Bal Thackeray despite all his criticism and negative image, was one of the first politicians to acknowledge the massacre of Kashmiri Hindus in the 80/90s and even gave shelter and scholarships/seats in universities to them.

Mumbai, from once being terrorized and dominated by Muslim thugs is safe and secure today only because of Bala Saheb. Aadhe se jyada Bhai log toh Pakistan / Dubai bhaag gaye aur baaki bache hue ek ek ka encounter karwa diya. Seedha encounter no appeasement in name of minority rights.

Also bragged about sending his cadres to participate in the demolition of Babri Masjid. Liberals and Secularists bhok bhok ke thaq gaye  , kuch nahi ukhad paya koi .

Was cremated with State honours with lakhs of people assembled to pay Last tributes to their Supremo.

LEGEND!

A thug he was. And no he didn't do jack for Hindus. The guy was a crook who openly used to incite hatred against Indians from other states which saw hundreds of cases of violence against North Indians.

He used the Hindutva tool for his own gains.

That’s his nephew Raj who took a leaf out of his uncle who did that against South Indians in the 60s and 70s early.

Only redeeming  thing was gangsters and mafia were in check relatively speaking when he was in power compared to  Sharad powar who himself might be on the payroll of the D company or even the king maker behind Dawood.

Some people might cheer for him for some of the stuff like Maha Arathi to counter Public Namaaz etc or have a place in their hearts for him for working alongside BJP or RSS, but it is tough to appreciate  a guy who used   divisiveness as only a political agenda rather than someone who worked based on a strong/core belief system.

RSS and BJP are nationalistic parties who have a strong core values and a belief system. Let us not get fooled just because he wore saffron and maybe rode the wave of Hindutva politics.

Disclaimer: I am not using Hindutva as a negative connotation because I believe Hindutva is a nationalistic ideology. I am talking of that “Hindutva” which is wrongly attached to a certain fringe elements or actions like the guys who create ruckus on Valentine’s Day or apparently beat up the innocent Muslim who legally buys beef from a licensed store and eats discreetly in the comfort of his own home without hurting any sentiments of his Hindu brethren.

Trailer looks better than the teaser which seemed to secularize him ( in my pov) while the trailer shows his unabashed side.

Good on Nawaz playing the proper character and not a whitewashed one like Sanju:hatsoff:
