Rayudu is worse then even gully cricketers when it comes to facing pace bowlers. In IPL he can time against a few trundlers but in internationals...meh.... Link to comment

He shows no grit in tough situations and never takes responsibility. His innings is extremely flukey and never looks comfortable against quality fast bowling. Other things not in his favour 1. He is already 34 and most cricketers like MSD are working on their retirement plans at that age 2. He is a poor fielder both in terms of catching as well as ground fielding. A poor catcher is a huge liability for us. 3. He has played maximum innings against Zimbabwe and if we remove those innings his average drops from 50 to below 40. 4. His quick scoring is a myth as his strike rate is 79 which is below par for a top order batsmen of any team. If u remove Zimbabwe games his strike rate is only 70. Please remember that there is an opportunity cost to continue playing Raiidu in the eleven. We could have developed Gill, a solid bat with similar abilities to Kohli.
