The best performances of BJP IMO were

(1).  BJP government managed to bring inflation to a very low and acceptable level. They controlled it well considering what it was 5 years back.

(2). The infrastructure expenditure  was up to acceptable level.

(3). IBC framework is the best framework that was introduced. This should have been done by previous governments. Better late than never.

(4). The government is not running to save companies where fraud or mismanagement of company or siphoning of money by board members have taken place. Taxpayers money has not been wasted in saving Gitanjali Gems , Jet Airways and many other companies. Not so sure about IL&FS. To have a matured market the government should stay away from saving failed private companies because of incompetence or fraud.

The next  5 years should be all about growth story. The basics and frameworks are well established by the government to take the growth leap. The target should be growth now rather than further consolidation. Steps need to be taken to ensure strictly that liquidity crisis of NBFC 's should not happen again.

1) UCC

2) revocation of article 35a/370

3) repeal land amendment bill, tackle labor laws

All 3 are judiciary matters, and do you really trust them???

nothing will ever happen and status quo will remain....

Most of my wishes have been covered by other posters. Will add some extra points (random order):

SEZs, export oriented economy like SE Asian countries.

Internal waterways.

High speed rail network, like China.

Port led industrialization/development. Ramp up Sagarmala.

Remove govt control over our temples.

Clamp down on fraud activist groups and NGOs who are working against India's interests (eg Sterlite). Break NGO-Church-Naxal nexus.

Ban PFI/SDPI/Hurriyat type groups that are radicalizing society.

Kick out the Rohingyas.

Go after 5th column, especially in media. Enough skeletons in their closet.

Continue to be hawkish wrt Pakistan.

Temple land that has been encroached upon has to be freed, set up a dedicated wing to stop idol theft and retrieve stolen artifacts.

Citizenship for minorities (dharmics mainly) facing persecution in neighboring countries.

NRC all over India.

HRD reform, kick out Sharia Bolsheviks from academic circles.

India-centric foreign policy, don't let others tell us what we have to do, we aren't a small player.

All India Judicial Service.

Use our complete quota as per Indus Water Treaty.

Like PM popularized SBA/hygiene in NDA-1 this term make tree planting a focus area. Needless to say pollution, water quality/conservation, air quality, stubble burning etc have to be focus areas. Environment ministry should be cabinet rank... Indian Forest Service, wildlife conservation groups, nature conservation/research, NGT etc should be well funded/resourced. Nature/wildlife tourism should be expanded, enormous potential.

Clamp down on frauds who misuse reservation system. Reservation should be there but no fakery.

Implement MS Swaminathan panel recommendations on farmer issues...at least set the ball rolling.

Fixed compensation for martyrs' families, right now too random. Family of Bengali martyr gets 2 lakhs, 10 lakhs in TN, 30 in Himachal etc. Same for the injured, standardize them.

No alcohol (Bihar, Gujarat) or beef ban......not happening but wishful thinking. Govt should have no say in what people consume, neither can it explore fridges of households...silly. Don't target employment of people, regulate them and ensure highest standards.

Scientific abattoirs, regulation of poultry farms, animal rights etc.

Prioritize Olympics performances, amount spent per athlete too low now. Start improving sports infrastructure throughout the country especially in Naxal tribal belt and North East so that youngsters give careers in sports a chance rather than guns. A lot of natural talent waiting to be explored. It's a crying shame to see a 130 crores strong country struggle to win 4-5 medals in the Games and no gold. Do what China did in the 80s.

Another thing. This is a great opportunity to not give into corporate compulsions and have specialist and experts in some cabinet positions. Maybe even top bureaucrats.

We have to cut corporate tax. There is no getting around this. We have to get more FDI and technology investments into the country to create more jobs. We need to really fillip the skill India venture identifying the industry requirements.

1. Cut taxes. We are already getting taxed more than US and getting shitty govt service.

2. Every school must teach moral science and civic sense till 12th std. Sri lanka is more cleaner than India. Swach bharat should be pushed vigorously

3. Rapid industrialization. We should make half of the products we buy from China

4. Reduce pollution. Some of the cities up north have poor air quality

5. Maintain wild life and preserve environment

BJP had 5 years and didnt do much. They said its too little time to do anything of substance. Now they have another 5 years and further more since Congress is unlikely to make a comeback after this term. So nobody is holding them from doing what they promised. This is a golden opportunity for them to showcase their brilliance and how they differ from Congress. If they don't, people will ask the same questions they asked to Congress

A lot of tax payers money is wasted on the  illegal immigrants from Myanmar  (Rohingyas) and also those from Bangladesh who settle in WB. Surely crores of rupees can be saved by deporting them back to their countries. Also once illegal immigrants are deported their jobs can be given to unemployed people in West Bengal.

The decission to stop water to Pakistan after Pulwama attack needs to be taken to completion once required dams are built to store and divert the water within India itself.

Finish off remnants of D-company in India, esp Mumbai. Crack the nexus between Dawood-Police-Politicians-Businessmen and take over all his property, convert them into govt spaces. We can't kill him in Karachi but sure can finish off his wealth and dhandha in India. His family members are carrying out the illegal/anti-national activities on his behalf, sab ko jail mein daalo, even better encounter kara do. * librats and HR activists...all enemies of India must pay.

Some reforms in Muslim community, they need some reforms to modern times...

lets hope triple talaq law is passed...

Any community can't be reformed until those reforms come from within and are accepted wholeheartedly.  Instead they are heading backwards by the day.

Less tax payers is the biggest myth in India. Population doesn't matter when PPI is so low.

Reduce corporate tax.

Remove ceiling for investments in FIIs and encourage knowledge/skill based companies to set shop in India.

Stop subsidising electricity for the agricultural sector. These guys pay no taxes. It would be a highly unpopular, but much needed decision.

UCC

PS: GoI should never spend on Olympians. That is just show off worthy stuff. Spend on sports at a school level. Let the corporate sponsors take care of the rest.
