Stuge Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 (edited) Even with technology, umpiring is downright Pathetic to say the least . How was it conclusive evidence to reverse the decision of on field umpire and give out ? Edited June 27, 2019 by Stuge express bowling and Pratik77 2
express bowling Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 Pathetic 3rd umpiring by Michael Gough of England. There was no conclusive evidence that it was edged. Nikola 1
zen Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 Did not see it live but there appears to be s faint edge. The ultra edge shows a spike at the point where bat and ball just cross

sage Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 Even the greatest Rohit fan in myself recognises the edge. Rasgulla, VT87 and cowboysfan 3

Earlier frame if you pause it shows a spike where the ball is passing the bat. At the frame, you cannot see the pitch b/w the bat and ball as well .... I would count it as a faint edge sage 1
ShoonyaSifar Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 Was pathetic decision. No way conclusive evidence.

zen Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 Just now, Stuge said: There is no conclusive evidence to over turn the decision ..Even on field umpire was surprised .Their umpires don't folllow their own rules . It is conclusive. The ultra edge shows a spike and bat is not near the pad nor it is hitting the ground. If you pause the frame where the ball and bat connect a) Ultraedge shows a spike, b) you cannot see a gap b/w bat and ball

I would count it as a faint edge at the first fame, both bat and pad are together. you cannot convincingly say it hit the bat or pad. On-field decision was not out and there is no conclusive evidence, on-field decision stands. These are the rules of DRS.
