he was a defensive captain who was not very good at being "inspirational". but he was a strategic and tactically astute captain who did a fairly good job overall.

Admin positions will need people with power to push people who don’t get in line or won’t perform. Can Dravid do that ? Strategy and vision is ok but you need to be inspirational and demanding as well.

coaches role in cricket is not the same as football; here they take secondary roles. and a NCA director does not have to be "inspirational" like an on-field capn.
