rageaddict Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Does any one think that Australia might be looking to stretch the lead to around 325 and then declare to have a go at the England batters for around 105-110 overs? It's still far fetched but I think they might have a target in mind and wouldn't like to bat till they are dismissed so that they will have enough overs to bowl in the fourth innings.

Stan AF Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 (edited) That was an atrocious call from umpire. Broad bugger is appealing even that hits on the thighs. Edited August 4, 2019 by Stan AF
Norman Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Rain is forecast tomorrow. Aus should take the punt and declare at 320ish lead. A good 120 overs will be enough on a fifth day wicket. Nikola 1
rageaddict Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Steven Smith missed out on an easy double hundred. Kronadler 1
Frustrated Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Sandpaper Episode helped India more than any other team. Result might hv been different probably, had smith played against us. JourneyMan and Wall2018 1 1
chewy Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Been good first Test so far, Aus gave to win now Moeen as cricketer right now looks spent, it seems his batting and bowling feed off other England need to a play a specialist spinner. JourneyMan 1

Can't believe they dropped Zak Leech for this useless player. Looks like the seniority culture is taking over England as well.
Nikola Posted August 4, 2019 Author Posted August 4, 2019 100 for wade. Surely deserved it as he worked hard in domestic cricket. JourneyMan 1
Sachinism Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 How many overs would Aus like to get in tonight? Bit of a predicament to time this correctly
chewy Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Surely enough runs now, probably get in 10 overs at Eng
Norman Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Oh come on ! Just declare now. Poms may whine about light and go of early. You've got to get atleast 10 overs at them today. Nikola 1
Nikola Posted August 4, 2019 Author Posted August 4, 2019 Poor from aus should have declared when lead was 350. adi B and Kronadler 1 1
chewy Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Tim Paine looks like a ultra defensive captain, Dhoni mould Kronadler, nevada, adi B and 1 other 3 1
Moochad Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Poms bowling attack lets them down from such a strong position They should have rolled out the green tracks like they had versus us.
Norman Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 What a pathetic captain Tim Paine is ! Now I get how cheeku won down under (with all due respect to Pujara and Bumrah). Kronadler and sergio04 1 1
