I wonder what is our current full strenth T20 squad?

Countdown to T20 world cup begins.Lets use this thread to keep record of the evolution of the squad till than..

 

As of now

Only certainities are Rohit,Kohli,Hardik,Pant Bumrah.

 

Lets see how u build a squad around these core players..

Dhoni, Dhawan, Rahul, Jadeja, Bhuvi, Chahal are all certainties as well. Among them, on T20 performance alone, only Rahul and Chahal deserve to be picked.

 

Basically our T20 squad will be almost the same as the WC squad. Other teams use T20s to try out youngsters, we use them to keep picking the same old tried faces, this despite us having done nothing of note in T20 cricket except the first T20 when teams were still getting used to the format.

In my view if they keep picking the players like they picked in WI tour we have no chance to win WT20 next year.  My team will be Rohit Kishan( give him a chance as opener) Kohli Pant Rana Hardik Krunal Rahul Chahar Bumrah Saini Khaleel/Bhuvi.  Keeping in mind bigger venues we play on.  Kohli Rohit can provide stability & accumulator role rest can slam bang.  Kishan to go ballistic in PP.  Enough left handers to disrupt bowlers line & length & find easy gaps.  Bowling attack can easily defend 170-180 scores on big grounds.

I think its high time now that Rohit should start batting at 4.

Reasoning behind is that opening is the moat easist spot in T20s and that will allow yongsters to express themselves..

 

Also In tight chases experince is needed in the middle order and rohit can clear fence with ease..Also we need a explosive no 5 as well and idealy a left hander. 

 

I will open with

Pant and rahul 

Kohli,Rohit

Nitish, Hardik

Gopal, Deepak

R.chahar, Bunrah

Saini.

Only way we will win is IF Rahul, Pant (if picked) and Pandya are at their best hitting form and if Bhuvi is NOT picked. Expect the team management to mess up all such deisions
