Why are we reluctant to develop or pick the next gen 140 k + pacers ?

A-team for 4 day matches ----

Siraj

Avesh

Warrier

A-team for 50 over matches ----

Siraj

Khaleel

Warrier

Porel

----  Good to see no genuine trundlers.

----  Why no Mavi. ?  Is he supposed to be still unfit  during this tour ?  He is one of our biggest fast bowling talents who is performing in FC big time.

----  Hope to see Prasidh in the 50 over A-team when he is fit.

---- Avesh could have been tried in the 50 over A-team too.

--- Overall, still more good than bad.

ODI squad of Bumrah, Saini, Shami and Shardul is 3 out of 4 genuine quick bowlers. (  Partly due to injury to medium pacers ). But good to see us shift back to genuinely quick pacers again.

I think you can always take a risk with bowlers by inducting them intio national team without much experience but cannot do the same with batsman because batting is a skill and an art which develops over time.

Mavi had a back issue.

With Shami out with injury, Team India needs to develop Prasidh. He has the height, bounce and pace needed in SENA.

He averages 20.3 in FC with a SR of 43.5. Which shows he knows how to take wickets in 4 day games. This is the key.

Now or never, even if they don't introduce him here they should prepare him right after this tour as he is already 24

Some bowlers tend to do well in International cricket, can't just lay him back as he hasn't done anything noticing in FC/List A(he has barely played for his state team)

You still believe this team management thinks sanely.

I am surprised to see Tyagi left out as one of our net bowlers in our series against England.

He was quite impressive and quick in the 2nd practice match and read that he was very good and hostile in the nets too.

Prasidh should have been chosen as a net bowler too.

Not a single 140 k+ pacer chosen as a net bowler, given that Avesh has lost pace in the 4 day format.

Bro the only reason I can think of is because of the long bio bubble Tyagi was in and so they want to give him some rest. But Prasidh not being selected as a net bowler is just stupid. Don't know why Kohli praised Prasidh.

Yes bro, I was thinking about the bio bubble issue too, but wondering whether a 20 year old kid would want that or want to be with Team India after a 2 week break. ( 3 week gap - reporting before a week )

Sirjee , Wo  aur 4 batsmen ko injured kar dega . Is liye TM risk nahi liya lagta hai . Already  hit 2 in Aus i think.

We have 2 specialist slingers in our team who give batsmen practice by slinging the ball at 150 k, using those long slinging appendages.

Don't think Tyagi would be more of a threat than them.

Tyagi should debut in ODIs vs SL later in the year.  He should settle in a Fast bowler vs weaker side.  Then take him to England tour as well.  We don't need to rush him into home games especially Tests.  Keep the guy away from T20s bar IPl.

I m not a fan of kohli's captaincy , but have to admit that it was Kohli who introduced this pace bowling culture in the team. Particularly in tests.    Dhoni as a test captain, was happy with too many trundlers in the team. And never had the vision of winning in SENA.   He was just content with our wins in the sub continent.  That's all.    Had it not been for Kohli, we would not hv won back to back test series down under. (Credit also goes to the bowling coach. Not taking away anything from him)

I am noT talking about Tyagi's inclusion in our test team ... but using him as a net bowler.

With no FC cricket around, this will help him learn from Bumrah, Arun etc.

Agree.

Tyagi has been in the bio-bubble for almost 6 months. Good to give him a break for a few weeks.
