Because of course the junta is always so gullible, everyone's going to forget what happened vs NZ as long as we continue to steamroll teams in bilaterals. Rinse & repeat, every dictator's playbook has this - deception, distraction, division Link to comment

Our top 3 clean of 80% of games in these bilateral , they ll be in deep end in a KO. Rohit n kohli needs to be rested in many series from now on alternately and there are enough poor sides around the world to do that In this series they sent in Dube and Pant at 3. Dube was a success but Pant failed to capitalize on his promotion up the order. Hopefully they will continue giving chances to newer batsmen. Link to comment

If Extra slot opens can play a lottery player like Dube maybe or even Sundar. 7 bowling options. If that is too much can replace either Dube or Sundar with another batsman like Pandey Making Rahul keep can open up our combos Rohit Rahul (WK) Kohli Iyer Pandya Dube Sundar Bhuvi Shami Kuldeep Bumrah This would be our best line up bowling wise too.Sundar /Jadeja and Chahal can be played depending on pitch and conditions. Most of the young talented batsmen are openers.Where are the talented middle order batsmen. This is the bottom line. Pant and iyer at 2,3 could have also scored like rahul. Link to comment

ShoonyaSifar
Only way to change that is to give more consistent opportunities to younger batsmen to bat in top 3. Rohit and Kohli bashing WI/BD/SL counts for nothing. Iyer hardly getting an opportunity in the series was sad to see. Dube and Pant did get sent up but then again you can't keep shuffling the youngsters in the batting order each match. We made this mistake in ODIs and have done the same in T20s. Link to comment

How will giving them opportunities at top3 solve the issue of them batting in death? You need to have ability to hit from ball one, if these guys had that they would not be asking to bat at top three. Link to comment

Ideally one of the seniors should drop down . we have a top heavy team not necessarily in terms of talent , but more so experience . its ridiculous when your top 3 have combined experience of 1000+ matches and the rest combined not even quarter of that . KL Pant/Shaw/Gill Virat Rohit XYZ is far more balanced than KL Rohit Virat Pant XYZ Link to comment

They did promote Pant yeterday , it is not their fault if he flopped. Why are we trying to move established players to accomidate unproven players.Rohit is not the answer for no4 problem.Do they have any middle order bats, should be the question. Link to comment
