So far his recent hundreds have been on dead pakistan pitches against piss poor and toothless bowling from SL/Bangladesh. If he is making the same hundreds in SENA countries i would deffo make the list Fab 5 as he would have redeemed himself to be included in the elite list of Test batsmen.

Even batters like Shan Masood are making tons so then you really need to take this performance as an expected.

He scored 100 in aus and also 97 in next innings

Gobar Azam is like our own Rayadu feast on bd, sl and wi. After so much of exploit he hardly won anything for Pakistani. Only thing I remember is a wc chase against weakest Sena country where fat ass Harris sohail played faster than Gobar.  In test most of his score are in dead rubber or Pakistani have no hope for a victory and opponents were also not trying that hard. In the match where he scored 100 even Yasir shah scored more than him.

Differ .

He is reaching world class in stature . And took him 4 years to reach there and guy works very hard at his game .

Should give credit where due .

Exactly. He has been improving in tests for the last year or so and has always been a gun LOI player. Of course ATG status is still a long way away but nothing to say he can't make it.

as far as feasting on poor quality sides at home, you can only play the opposition in front of you. Over an extended career he will end up playing varied strengths, conditions and pitches. If not good enough, he will get found out.

Its called obsession. These guys are obsessed with Kohli. Not only fans but also their ex cricketers, so called pundits everyone. I thought after the a$$ whopping by 10 wicketd on tuesday...these jokers will stay underground for few days. But no shame

Not just Kohli.  After MS Dhoni led India to a WC, they tried to make a Dhoni out of Salfalaaz, delusionally thinking that he is anywhere near the same cailbre.  They have been so starved of a half-decent batsman, now that they have one in Barber Hajmola, they are quick to anoint him and put him in that top echelon of batsmen.  The more they try to do that before Babar has earned it, the more delusional they look.  But it can't be helped. These delusional greenbros "Ki Zehniyat" hi aisi hai.

All of that is fine, but the problem is when morons take a handful of games and make absurd claims like "Babar has outperformed Virat" etc.

Azam is actually a quality bat, but the OTT nonsense around him invites ridicule.

There are always blowhards, but usually we notice them more when they are comparing their new players with our stalwarts.

One glance at the sports shows in hindi news channels is proof enough. The delusion and idiotic chest thumping is beyond belief.

azam is a quality bat, and unlike many Pak cricketers he takes work ethic seriously and does his best to improve. with all that said, it is too premature to anoint him as an ATG.

Agree , Babar is making steady progress , let him score some tons in England, SA and other places and once his tally of centuries reached beyond 25, with some other match winning knock, only then we can start ATG, discussion. Its almost annoying to even talk about ATG at this point.

yes. too much polarization in both camps - some dismiss him completely whereas others hype him up to an ATG. he is already one of the most promising batsmen in WC, so let us sit back and watch how he develops.

We need better openers to support Babar. Fakhar has been found out and Imam is very limited.
