From a strategic point of view PCB's next objective should be to increase # of stadiums, currently there is a proposed stadium in Skardu which is one of the safest places in pakistan and has airport access as well as five star hotel & accomodation facilities due to it being a popular tourist destination.

Sorry, but this sounds like pipe dreams.  Based on what I have seen it seems a lot of investment and work is required to bring up the handful of Pakistani stadium up to current day standards.  Building one in "Skardu" is a long way off.

I'm pretty sure if the previous Nawaz government was there, work over new stadiums would have been atleast in pipeline within 5 years since those guys were freak with the infrastructure and developments including roads and airports, metro facilities etc.

It was during their era that this proposal was drafted.

From not wanting to visit Pakistan to tour 3 times in 3 months What a great turn around :phehe:

What’s funny is how PCB had to bend over in all angles to get frickin Bangladesh to play a series

There has been too much up-down situation in pakistan recently, entire PCB management was changed by Imran Khan with sethi resigning as PCB chief post Imran's takeover as PM. Also PCB lack funds so work over new stadiums is not on as of now, current management has taken some absurd decisions (Misbah Fiasco) and lack direction.

PCB's best bet is to go for Private-Public Partnerships, it will be a vice decision to do so. Bahria Town (Owned by real estate tycoon - Malik Riaz) is in final stages of constructing Rafi Stadium, Karachi which is designed by Gerkan, Marg and Partners, it has an ICC certified design and amenities such as swimming pool, gym, cricket academy etc.

Well, hopefully it gets back on track financially. Strong PAK team = better for cricket. 3 Test team touring is a start (regardless of their rank in test).

lol if you go by posts on ICF it would seem as if BCCI is depositing money into their account every month. :giggle:

BCCI being rich is good for Indian cricket as long as the money is deployed well, but gloating about the board's riches compared to other boards is tasteless and cheap.

You dont know below poverty league ?

I don't  know, sorry what is it?

My point was Bangladesh may be weak team but their players lives also matter and PCB learnt their lesson by giving them respect.

Misbah announces squad for t20s.

Hafeez and Malik are back. :wall:

Some pointless selections including Khushdil Shah, Musa Khan and Usman Qadir.

Ahsan Ali and Haris Rauf being the good ones.

Misbah is the worst thing happened to Pakistan cricket, ever. Cant believe 42 year old Hafeez, just banned from bowling is back and Amir is replaced by a shortie club level "fast" bowler Musa.

It's his personal choice. Have you forgotten how many Sri Lankan players refused to come for the recent T20s ? No-one is entitled to or owes any favou to your country.

Yes, his personal choice, but when  security is not an issue for every other player, he is just trying to create a negative impact , regrettable.

Not everything is about you or your country.  Maybe he's got family who went through hell during the genocide of 1971.  Maybe he's personally scarred from the NZ shooting incident.  You don't know.  But all you folks care about is your precious Pakistan and its "image".  Selfcentered thinking.  Utterly incapable of appreciating the other person's perspective.  Pathetic.

Why didnt any Pakistani player show national pride ? Anyone who was playing BPL could have pulled out of BPL in the name of tantrums thrown by BD on security concerns in Pak. I have been following these negotiations cause my interest is in where asia cup goes,  BCB has been putting pressure on PCB for few months now and sorry not one of your players showed any spine. All they care about is money and hence the state of cricket in pak.
