Because there are three forms of cricket. And smith is the best in 1 kohli is better in 2. But thats assuming kohli and smith are best at those 3. Bear with me here.. Smith is arguably #1 in test... maybe not atm.. kohli is not #2 In ODI i think kohli is arguably #1. I dont think he is personally.... smith is not even top 10 imo... In 20/20 i dont think either are top 10 atm. I expect debate on the 20/20. But still. Kohli is easily better across all formats. However. Smith is better in the hardest of the formats. In essence... they are not really comparable against each other easily. But my vote goes to kohli if i have to compare across 3 formats
