Dube is not such a bowler. And we don't have such a bowler in the top 6 even. 2) Dube at 7 won't give us a 6th bowling option. 3) By batting at 7, he may not get much chance to prove his mettle as a batter. cricketpitch Posted January 23, 2020 Share Posted January 23, 2020 I would not play Bumrah for too many games. We need him fit for the Test matches. Just rotate him with other bowlers. With injury to Ishant, Bumrah and Shami become crucial if India have to win the Test series in New Zealand which we last did in 2009. Link to comment

What is the point of keeping with Rahul when Pant is in the X1. He is our backup test keeper. wouldn't that be embarrassing to have a part-timer keep ahead of him?
